  1. I don't know anything about this bag, but I would be wary of a seemingly no-name bag. With the straps and stands, not to mention simple stuff like zippers and pockets, there are too many things that can go wrong if they are not quality products. I would be afraid to go with something unknown. Check out rockbottomgolf.com. They have a good many name brand stand bags for good prices- even a few in the under $50 range. I have ordered from them before and everything was great- great prices and fast shipping. I would pay a little more for a know brand, but that is just my two cents.
  2. Bridgestone: We found your ball. (variation- Bridgestone- I found my ball.) To elaborate a little, the more informational commercials could say "Bridgestone has conducted 97 billion ball fittings in the last 3 years. More than all other manufacturers combined." ***flash to black screen with Bridgestone logo*** narrator- "Bridgestone. We found your ball." The more celebrity type commercials could have various pro golfers, celebrities, and regular old amateurs holding up their Bridgestone balls, each saying "I found my ball." At the end of the commercial, screen fades to black, Bridgestone logo, narrator- "Bridgestone. We found your ball." Why its a winner: its short, simple, and sums up the mission of Bridgestone's ball fitting program. It would easily fit on hats, shirts, and other accessories. It is catchy and people will remember it.
  3. Not exactly, but close. 125 yard, downhill par 3. I hit a perfect, high, straight gap wedge. It was one of those where you hold your swing and pose because you know it is good. As opposed to bouncing, like yours did, mine landed in the hole-- almost. The ball hit the top of the plastic cup, about 2 inches down in the hole-- we could HEAR the ball hit the cup from the tee box. The ball flew straight up about 20-25 feet and landed about 30 feet from the hole, on the fringe. I two putted for par, which is never bad, but a 1 would have been much better.
  4. I am just getting back into golf after a 6-8 year hiatus (law school, marriage, baby, etc.). Back when I was playing my best (8-10 years ago) I was about a 10-12 handicap. I am now getting back into it and have been upgrading my clubs, how having replaced almost my whole bag. The biggest difference I have encountered is Hybrids. Back when I was playing a lot, there was no such thing as a hybrid, now they are everywhere. Along with that is the make-up of a set of irons. Again, back when I played a lot, a set of irons meant 3-PW. Now, many iron sets come in 4-PW or even 5-PW, with the difference being made up by hybrids. I was recently fitted for irons at my local PGA Superstore and purchased a set of Cleveland CG16 irons (5-PW). At the recommendation of the guy that did the fitting, I also got a Cleveland Mashie Hybrid (21.5*) instead of a 3-4 iron. I love the Mashie and am considering getting the 15.5* Mashie as well, which leads me to my question. Would it be worth it to have a 15.5* Hybrid to hit from the fairways and a traditional 3-wood to hit off of a tee? My driver is often erratic and I am more consistent with a 3-wood off the tee, so my thought is that I should get a good 3-wood to hit off of the tee and a 15.5* hybrid for the fairway. In your experience, would I get more distance with a traditional 3-wood off the tee or should I just use a hybrid off the tee as well? Finally, what 3-woods would you guys recommend for hitting almost exclusively off of the tee? Thanks.
  5. I recently had an iron fitting at my local PGA Superstore and I have decided to purchase a set of Cleveland CG16 irons. I have found that I can purchase a new set off of Ebay (from a reputable seller with a ton of positive feedback) for a considerable discount. My only decision now is whether I want the Black Pearl or the Satin Chrome. From everything I have read and been told, the only difference is the look. The prices are basically the same, so it seems like its just personal preference. Does anybody know of any reason why I may want one over the other? The Satin Chrome is nice and classic looking, but I kind of like the look of the black pearl for something a little different. Thanks.
