  1. well I just hit a bunch of stuff in my local shop. The two I liked were the J33r and the Mac irons. The j33'r are 250 and 300, one has px shafts and the other has dg300's which one which one ?
  2. They do look sweet. The ones on the bay don't seem to have that black painted part, did you do it or did it come like that ? what year are they from ?
  3. Hi guys, Currently playing R7's index 7 depending on the day. I hit some forged semi blade taylormades over the weekend and the lack of offset really helped me not hook the ball. I'm looking for a decent set to get back into that mode. Any suggestions would be appreciated, trying to stay under 300 if possible for a used set. . Thanks
  4. i'm looking to upgrade to a TP version from my R7 irons. Does anyone know if an r9 set is coming out this year ? Thanks
  5. tried several versions funky shapes but they feel good to me
  6. Tiger woods , how i play golf book
  7. Hi There, I think I might have your answer. I originally went with the Cally's as my first choice and lost a full club distance. This was due to overly stiff heavy shafts. I think the ones I was using were around 120grams, I now use the r7 with the 90 gram shaft and picked back up a full club. if you like the heads try a lighter steel shaft. good luck and hope it helped
  8. i dont see any pictures there =(
  9. Hi Guys, I was looking at this Red x5 putter. They are 300 in the store but can be had for 170ish on ebay. I don't think they have serial numbers so how can i verify thats its real ? Thanks
  10. Does anyone have any actual spin numbers on this TA2 spin ball ? I love its spin and how soft it is, but i just feel like its not the longest in the bunch, but i don't have any numbers to verify that. I'm down to my last 2 dozen and looking for that ball for 09.. why cant' prov's just cost 25 bucks lol
  11. Went to my locan RD golf shop and tested a few on the monitor. I hit a used tp 07 and it felt nice, but they not no new ones and this one was reshafted with a shaft not well suited for me, but did like it. The cobra lv5 was nice too but more then im looking to spend. I hit the FT5 with the nv green and it wasnt a match for my swing. I'm going to wait on the 09 burner TP, if it's not the one I'll go with the 07 tp i suppose. thanks guys
  12. Hi guys, I played yesterday with the 09 burner. It's ok but a bit hard to control due to its length and lightness. I'm thinking of getting something a bit more controlable. What do you guys think about clubs like the 07 burner tp, Titlesist d2 or other older drivers. The prices have come down so much. I would prefer a tp version or something that isn't a hook monster. Thanks for your thoughts
  13. Hi All, Well I just got the new 09 Burner since a friend of mine caved the side of my Adams A3 in. No more lessons with my clubs, but thats another thread. Anyway I've been playing a Nike TA2-Spin ball. I picked up about 14 dozen from Golfsmith for 15 dollars a box. I love the spin and soft feel but I'm not sure if it's costing me distance off the tee. I'm down to about 3 dozen and trying to figure out what to get next. I like to stick with the same ball so I know how it reacts with the wedges and putter. Driver swing speed is around 103ish, Playing conditions- southern california avg temp 65-75degrees. Green conditions somewhat soft and receptive. Handicap around 7 since I don't play too much anymore. hoping to change that. thanks in advance
  14. Well I youtubed square putting method and saw a guy giving a lesson that helped innitially anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpNlqFM2MOE He put a steel ruler down and started off just pushing the ball and following the ruler, then moving back slowly. So I've been using my ninja sticks as a path for me, I just rest the toe of the putter on it and follow it. I took it to the practice green today and I rediscovered my short putting with big breaks. I will try it on the course under real world pressure and report back. I don't think I will spend 300+ on the machine since I want a range finder first so I can putt for birdies instead of pars LOL. Thanks for your replies
