  1. Putter would be the way to go. Try out all of them out there and DO NOT miss out on the Nike Method 001 putter. Expensive, but for me It was something I loved as soon as took the setup. The scotty didnt even come close.
  2. The MP fi-His are irons (not hybrids) so they can be bended. I called Mizuno to confirm and thats what they said. In fact the guy I talked to encouraged the idea in order to make these a part of the rest my irons. Hopefully I can get over this Hybrid business. The MP Fli His are NOT hybrids:) They are irons and can be bent just like forged irons.
  3. Absolutely one hundred percent go for the AP2s!! I started playing golf a few years back with TM R7 irons. My game was never the same after lessons from a PGA pro and adding AP2s on HIS advice after 4 months of regular lessons. The first thing you will like about them is their look at address and then the feel off a good hit. They ARE forgiving! My game got so much better after using these.
  4. I am looking to add 3 and 4 hybrids in my bag. Decided on the Mizuno MP Fli-Hi. I do have a titleist 910H but am returning it as I am not comfortable with that big a head. I play AP2s and was custom fitted for it - std length, 2 degrees flat. My question is, do I need the same 2 degree flat in the 3 and 4 mizuno MP fli Hi irons? The specs (for the lie) for both Titleist and Mizuno (data from their website) are as follows : Titleist AP2 3 iron : 60 degrees (but i play 2 degrees flat) Titleist AP2 4 iron : 61 degrees (but i play 2 degrees flat) Mizuno MP fli-hi 3 iron : 59.5 degrees Mizuno MP fli-hi 4 iron : 60 degrees If all my AP2 irons (5-9) have been fitted as 2 degrees flat, what should be the angle on these mizunos?
  5. I use Titleist AP2 irons and am happy with the way I hit them. With irons and also wedges my best shots are those where the divot is in front of the ball and the PGA pro who fitted me for my clubs said I dig into the ground when I hit the wedges and so use high bounce. My question is about blades like titleist MB or Mizuno MP 68 or MP 69. These blades have a very thin sole which they say cuts through grass better. Does this mean this is a better club for someone who hits down on the ball and takes a divot in front of the ball? The AP2s feel great when I hit them clean but if i take a deeper divot, I do feel that if I had a "leaner" club (thinner sole) it might go through the grass more easily and feel even better. Is this a legitimate concern and would a blade be better for this?
  6. I never found it easy to hit a hybrid. Even after hitting well on a launch monitor I am not consistant with them at the course or the driving range. Same with 3 iron. However it is getting better. Hybrids HAVE TO be hit like an iron or the ball is not gonna fly. My iron shots are the best when I get the divot in front of the ball. The hybrid has to be hit like that only! I wish I cold hit the 3 iron consistantly and then this hybrid issue would have been gone on its own. Has anyone hit the Mizuno MP FLI-HI 2,3,4 irons? they are somewhere between a hybrid and an iron. Hitting these woulg be a good idea before deciding on a hybrid.
  7. Thanks for your reply. I have not been good with any hybrids! The big head of a hybrid is not to my liking at all. I thought it'd be easier than a 3 iron but its not for me. I will practice and see if it helps. But i am not sure if its a good idea to have different flex clubs in a golf bag.
  8. I have a similar problem! I play Titleist AP2 irons (custom fitted and I LOVE THEM!), 910D2 driver and Titleist Vokey wedges. I hit these well and I am happy with the way my game is progressing. I recently got myself a 910 H hybrid and on the swing monitor at golf galaxy i was told my swing speed with the driver is 100MPH and i'd be better off with a stiff shaft for the hybrid. So that's what I got. I was also advised to change my driver's shaft to a shift flex to gain distance. Now at the driving range its hard for me to hit this brand new hybrid with a stiff shaft. I am hitting my driver just fine (by that i mean straight!) that has a regular shaft and getting about 220-230 yards. The guy at my driving range checked my swing speed using the Mizuno DNA system and found it to be about 82MPH when using irons. My question is should I use a driver and hybrid with stiff shaft and irons with my usual regular shaft? Or should I stay with regular shaft for everything? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Titleist 910D2 10.5 degrees regular shaft Titleist 910H stiff (PROBLEM CLUB!) Titleist AP2 irons 5-9 regular flex (2 degrees flat) Vokey wedges 48,52,56 degrees (2 degrees flat) Nike Method putter (AMAZING!) ball : Titleist ProV1

  10. I got my AP2s custom fitted ; 2 degrees flat with std length and reg shaft : I love the way they help me lift the ball in the air and drop softly. Suddenly i am more confident about landing greens 150 yards out! The feel when you hit the sweet spot is like hot knife through butter! I dont care what the other irons feel like.. if i can hit these well thats all i need. 70% of golf is within 125 yards and thats all wedges and the putter... for the rest I love the AP2s with there feel, nice ball flight and slight forgiveness.
