  1. its alright i benched cink he has sucked all year so hopefully it doesn't bite me in the ass
  2. I am going to have to disagree with most everyone to some extent. While i dont think the top 50 golfers back in jack's day are better than the top 50 today and there however i think that the top 10 players back then at a given time are better than the top ten today without a doubt. Excluding tiger the top ten guys in the world today have a combined 3 major victories that is a joke. The reason i think the top ten guys were better during Jack's era is because the 50-100th ranked guys couldn't afford to just play golf for a living. Now if your 100th on the moneylist you are a multi- millionarie after sponsors. This has two effects. The first is since you dont have to be one of the best players to make a ton of money people golfers don't have the passion they did back then and they are content with just playing for a living. There has been a different major champion the last 17 as many of you know. Did you know that is the longest streak in the history of golf. The second streak came after jacks era and went until tiger's second major which was 16. Now i know many of you will say thats because Jack dominated. That is only partially true Jack went over 20 majors without winning. Back in his day guys like watson, trevino, ballsteros, palmer, player, stockton, casper, zoeller competed and won many majors. There have been 3 guys who won more than one major between tigers first and last and 11 guys who won majors most more than two between jacks first and last. While the 50th guy might not of been as good Id take the top ten back then over the top ten today in a heart beat!
  3. Francesco Molinari -7 Fredrik Jacobson -10 Greg Owen -5 Sorry for all those to picked molinari and jacobson and those of you who were unable to follow simple directions please stop using a computer and either go back to school, read a book, or find a job (and if you have one i dont know how)
  4. thanks so much for your help
  5. I have a very tough decision to make this week i am in a fantasy golf league done through email not through a website (which makes its way better may i add) and you have 8 guys on your team and can only start 5 in a given week. Anyways i have 1. Phil 2. Furyk 3. F. Molinari 4. S. Cink 5. J. Huh 6. Davis Love III I think the top three are obviously locks if you dont agree with that please dont respond i just need to pick two of the last three. Love is playing well lately and Huh has had a solid year. Cink has blew but he did win a british two years ago My lineup is due in an hour help!!!
  6. really luke donald is the best in the world? I am sorry friend but you couldn't be more wrong. How can he be the best golfer when his best finish in a Major is T3. Quite frankly the majors are the only things that truely matter it is what every golf legend spends their year preparing for and that is why the world golf rankings are so inaccurate becuase it doesn't weigh heavily enough on the majors. The best golfer would also not have his last 6 US open starts (thought to be the truest test in golf) are cut T45, T47, cut, wd, cut. He is also not even close to being in the hall of fame.
  7. also when i hit my driver off the toe it rolls a ton for me and goes about 290--310 but the problem is i rarely hit it off the toe once every couple rounds but i hit it off the heel multiple times a round which results in a drive that is about 250 and normally not in the fairway
  8. Hello an thanks for anyone willing to help. Im 20 years old and my handicap as gone between a 2-4 this year. In the beging of the year i was swinging over the top and i hated my driver i was hitting it so high and even when i hit it well i would fly it 290 and it would spin about a yard back that was with a clevland highbore xl standard stiff shaft i got a new driver (R11 8 degrees xstiff) for the first 10-15 rounds or so that i played i was hitting it better than i have ever hit a driver and was actually getting 10 yards or so of roll. I have recently hit a slump and am hitting a lot of weak blocks (which i think came from correcting my over the top swing) and even when i hit the rare one solid it is getting no roll again (i have had the driver set to 7-7.5 the whole time ive owned it). Ive tried playing further back in my stance but that seems to make it worse. Its not so bad when i am not into the wind but when i am it is terrible. The same goes for my rescue or hybrid when i hit them solid they go pretty high and dont roll at all. For example with my hybrid i will normally hit it around 225-240 but it will spin back about a foot, rarely i hit one low and it roles for 20-30 yards and goes about 250. What i am basically asking is how to hit my driver 3W and hybrid lower, im not asking for a low ball just something that rolls forward and something that will make my misses low rollers rather than high weak blocks that dont go anywhere? In addition i have a couple of other questions. My irons 9-4 when i am in the rough go about 10-15 yards further and normall roll alittle with the higher irons for example in the fairway or par 3 i hit my 9 iron about 150 and 4iron about 205 when i am in the rough i hit my 9 iron about 165-170 and my 4 iron 220-230 is there a way for me to get the same results from the fairway than in the rough. Lastly my wedges dont go anywhere in the rough and they arent much better in the fairway for example i only hit my 54 degree 100 yards and cant hit it that far in the rough this makes shots from 100-160 very difficult for me because of the fact that i hit my 9 iron about 165 in the rough and i hit my PW 135 max. Sorry for such a long post i have just been struggling with my game and would appreciate any and all advice and if you have any questions for me id be more than happy to ask ive been playing for 15+ years and i was a scratch in high school so i know a little bit Thanks alot
  9. How come they didnt reduce the field since there were around 90 golfers who made the cut. I thought if there were more than 80 then they just gave them a check for whatever place there were all tied for and they didnt play. Why is this different
