  1. Nike method concept, Love the weighting, roll, and the consistency at which I am able to adjust power
  2. 7,, I am a sucker for patriotism, but sad to think who she lost
  3. Got a Chance to go back and hit both on the launch monitor along with the Nike mach speeds as well and I am really leaning more towards the amps. I was hitting the 7 iron out around 160(longest at 177) which is just unheard of for me, and they just seemed easier for me to hit than the other two, I really did not like how the sole on the s3 max's seemed to sort of drag off of the turf. Also the nike's hit very well, but it seemed like it was not quite A's easy to make a solid contact in the center of the club
  4. So, still very new to golf and ready to purchase some new clubs as the old hand me down blades I have are making a difficult time horrible for me. I have had a chance to hit several different sets now and I am really liking the cobra lines of irons that I have been able to hit so far. I have been comparing two particular sets the most, the s3 max and the amp's, as I really like the feel and look of both. I would like some input on whether I should go with the sgi(s3 max) something a little more forgiving and easier to hit or the gi(amp) something still forgiving, but a set that I may be able to grow into a bit in terms of skill. I realize that there is about a $250 difference in price between these, but I would like to make my decision based on what will get me the most out of my purchase. Thanks
  5. Yeah, I have hit a few different sets of clubs in person now, the only reason I was considering buying online at all was to save some money, so was wanting to know if I would be able to get away with most standard specs.
  6. Bode man, thanks for your input, really what I was looking for. I went out to two of my local club shops today and tested a bunch of different irons, anybody have any thoughts on the cobra s3's? I liked the look and feel and they were about $400 I think
  7. Thanks for the advice
  8. Price firm? I am very Interested in These
  9. I am very new to golf, about a month, lol. However I have been out at the range and on the putti g greens almost every day since I have found a new interest in the sport. I have been practicing with some very old and for lack of a better term quite crappy set of old northwestern irons. I am starting to get to the point where I am thinking of picking up some newer clubs that may be a bit better. My questions are mainly Do I need to get custom fitted for clubs, or can I get by with standard specs ( I am about 6ft tall )? What are some good clubs to consider without breaking the bank? And, any other information you would like to share, or think I should know would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
