  3. hi, say, i can relate to a golfer with poor attitude in 4some. yeah, we all get upset, but, suck it up...don't ruin the round for everyone else. keep some perspective. byron70
  4. Hey, that's cool. Keep up the good work. Let us know in a month or six how it's working. I'd be curious.
  5. Hi Everybody, Say, I'm curious, what is it in golf that hacks you off most? I mean everything from minor offenses to downright unpardonable sins. A sampling from me: 1) My foursome, who doesn't think it has to keep with the group ahead. 2) Practice range mats that feel like concrete. 3) Setting my chipping wedge on the green's morning dew. 4) "Gimmicky" holes. 5) Too many clubs, balls, putters, hats, etc. to choose from. 6) Too many people taking up the game. There. That's a few of mine. Now I feel better. I'd be curious to hear yours. Cheers!
  6. hey, great topic. i had one in '99 with my best friend in tampa. 185 yds and it put me out ahead of him in match. no, i didn't buy drinks. i kept it low key but i was real excited nonetheless. i mean you could see every detail of the ball's journey to the cup. i never knew if i'd ever have one, now i wonder if i'll have another.
  7. hi. you know, i could go on and on. i love reading golf books, but i'll mention three by pro golfers that are particulary good in imparting info. first raymond floyd's "the elements of scoring." Hale Irwin's "Smart Golf," and finally Davis Love's "Every Shot I take" which is not only a pretty good instructional book but a heartfelt tribute to his father.
  8. hi everybody, im new to this forum and this is my first reply. i pay generally about $30-$40 here in southern wisconsin. you can get a pretty fair course at that price ... muni's and some clubs. we've got several excellent courses too in the area and i'll splurge with someone depending on the occassion, if it's a great course we've heard about but haven't played, or simply if it's been too long playing the muni's, etc.
