  1. Do the fundamentals of keeping my wrist flat on the backswing and the bowing (supination) of my lead wrist on the dowswing through impact still apply for the S&T; swing? I am a CONSTANT flipper and either topping the ball or hitting it very thin...
  2. I completely understand that portion of the backswing, thanks! What I am confused about is on the downswing... do I keep that face even through impact AND after impact? Don't I have to release my hands at some point on the follow through?
  3. So your saying the face of my club should stay relatively the same throughout my whole swing? Maybe I'm not explaining it right, because I don't understand your initial reply. Sorry!
  4. I've read conflicting things in this post, and sorry I do NOT have the book =(. Am I supposed to rotate my forearm/wrist on the downswing - follow-through? I cannot stop slicing it unless I do so. HELP!
  5. I love this site! Such a wealth of great information. I hate to belabor the point but, S&T; requires the weight on the leg closer to the target. I get it. But where should the weight be on the feet? Balls of feet? Middle of feet? Thanks!
  6. Went to a beginner 9-hole Par 3/4 course today to practice the S&T; swing... I gotta say I was very impressed with myself! The only thing I can't figure out are shots that are in-between clubs. How do I dial back the swing to hit a 60-70% shot? Do I reduce the backswing? Also, as I was progressing through the round, I'd hit alot of deep divot shots. The ball would sail the expected distance, but the club head would pretty much hit the ground and come to a halt. I feel like maybe I'm not extending and "standing up" on the downswing. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
  7. I've been practicing the S&T; swing for about 2 weeks now. I have to say that it has improved my contact and ball striking dramatically. Unfortunately, I do NOT have the book/DVD and have been working straight off what I've read online and what I see on youtube. Eventually, I will be purchasing both items once I have some extra cash lying around, but I hope that some current Stack and Tilters can help me with a few basic questions... 1. How important is it to maintain the FLAT left wrist on the takeaway? It's always been hard for me to do so, and I am managing to strike the ball fairly well with a slight "left bend" of the wrist. 2. On my takeaway, it's almost impossible for me to keep my head squarely facing the ball. It always wants to slightly turn right (right-handed BTW). Maybe I'm not flexible too much OR maybe I am taking it back WAY too far. Thoughts? 3. I am trying to "discover" a way to initiate the lateral hip thrust on my downswing. I've read that some people use their right knee or right foot to start the downswing. My question is, by doing that, doesn't it encourage putting too much weight on the right side as a way to start the swing? 4. What type of grip is preferred on the S&T; swing? I tend to have a strong grip, but as I am totally revamping my swing, I might as well use the preferred grip. 5. Lastly, I make it a serious point to keep my arms connected as much as I can. I keep my right elbow close to my torso and try to maintain consistent elbow width distance the entire swing. Is this something I should be doing? Thanks in advance for all the wisdom I so desperately need! Bryan
