Okay. here's a little information.
I am relatively new to golf, started playing in November '05. Being a former Baseball player I guess my swing is a little more towards hitting. My handicap drops pretty steady at the moment (acual -32.5) which means I ususally play in the low 100s, but lowering the score almost every round I play.
My driver swingspeed is about 95mph, I own the SMT Spectrum with Accuflex v.3 stiff shaft and handle it quite successfull with an average driving length of about 240-250yds. 5 Iron lenght is about 170-175yds.
I already hit both sets and right now both feel pretty good to me. One problem of comparisation is that Titleists are regular shafted, while the Clevelands are stiff. Usually the stiff flex should fit a little better to my swing speed, but maybe playing the softer flex for a couple of months may help me to concentrate on a smoother swing and therefor develope a better Golfswing. I know that I am going to get fitted in the future anyway, but think that I need to fix my swing first, so I usually would like to get it done later this year. That could be a point of changing shafts of the Titleists anyway. As the Cleveland are pretty new a shaft replacement would hurt a little more.
Is it a good idea to play softer shfats in the swing developement process? Or might it be better to go correct flex right away?
