  1. Has anyone experience with the Bushnell Rangefinders manufactured specifically for golf? If so, what is the difference between the #1500 Tournament Edition and the regular #1500. Also I understand there is a model which provides slope information. Is that model permitted for use in a round in which the score is used for handicap purposes? Thanks.
  2. BTW, what shafts and flex came with the irons?
  3. I'm really looking forward to your review of the 775cb irons. I agree they are very attractive, and it will be interesting, I'm sure, to read your impression of their performance.
  4. Regarding the 904s: alright, they are good if hit on the screws. My question is this: are they forgiving if mishit, like so many of us will occassionally do? I ask this because I am comparing these to the Callaway X woods. I don't know if this is even a fair comparison, but I am attempting it nonetheless. Any thoughts on how forgiving the 904 may be on mishits?
  5. I, too, feel like my old clubs are like shovels compared to the comparatively sleek 775cb set. Also, my Callaway's have graphite shafts. I ordered the 775s with steel shafts, and I actually seem to have more control with the steel compared to the graphite. I even ordered two Vokey Spin Mill wedges ( 256.14 and 260.04 ), with the same shaft, the NS100, that comes with the 775s, in order to create a balanced set. I e-mailed Titleist about the wisdom of putting the lighter swing weight in the wedges and the customer service rep said that my request was not that unusual and they did this frequently. Anyway I'm looking forward to putting this set to use. I am wondering if any mid to high handicapper has experience with the 904 fairway woods? I don't, and I have read Erik's review on this website, but he's a lower handicap and I would be interested in hearing from others about these clubs.
  6. I recently tried the new Titleist 775 irons. I think they are terrific. Easy to hit, yet providing more feedback than other game improvement-type clubs. I'm wondering if anyone else has had the oppertunity to try these new clubs. I never thought Titleist would produce an iron, other than wedges, that I would consider appropriate to a mid- to high-handicapper like me; but, I am becoming a convert to these new irons. I especially like the NS Pro steel shaft. I've used graphite, previously; but, in the regular flex, I believe these steel shafts provide more stability and control, with no lack of distance compared to my current regular flex graphite shafts. Additionally, I like the look at set up. These really don't look like game improvement irons as much as more traditional cavity back irons. The finish on these irons is also a plus: handsome, without being too flashy. So, has anyone else tried these irons? I would be interested in reading others' opinions. Thanks.
  7. I use the latest version of the Cobra Baffler, with the Aldila shaft. I find it very effective when hitting from the rough and when chipping around the green.
