I used to have some crap clubs from Sports Authority. The weighting was off. You pay for brand name, but also for Quality Control!!!

Go with the X22!!! The awesomeness of the x20's with a free wedge!!!!
-
I just got Steel and I hit the ball 15% further. I love the solid feel of them.

I got the 56 wedge and the irons 3-PW. I also got the squareway 3w for the dollar after i returned the FTiQ. I told the manager what I wanted to do and he said he didnt care and wanted to see if ti worked. It did! I went out Sat and golfed +2 on a par 32 pitch putt and 94 on Sunday!

I was able to get the FTi fareway wood for the 1. I retuned the FTiQ 10 seconds later and used the credit for my irons. I told the manager and he said he wanted to see if the computer would let me do it. It worked and he said congrats on figure out the trick. -
Yah they are similar. One is how I should build the set of irons and the other is about the wedges with a set vs the blades. I like the blades so I wouldnt do 4-PW, SW... prob just get the AW or see if I can get the free wedge if I get 4-pw and a 3 hyb.
-
usually the sets are 3-PW or 4- PW, SW or AW

That is what I am thinking. The "stock" 51 would be fine to use and I would play with a real wedge for the times I got to the beach and around the green. Retire the warrior Gap and Sand!

I am going to buy the driver, and return it after dinner and grab the irons! You get 1 wedge when you buy 8 iron set. I have Warrior wedges 52, 56, 60. I think I am going to go for the "stock" 4-AW and then get the free 56 wedge. Retire the Warrior one!

The fine print is you dont get $$$ back. Only store credit... but I am buying an iron set so i will just use the credit towards that! -
Do you all use your stock Sandwedge? The one that comes with the iron set or have you tossed out of your bag anything past PW?

I like the square wood. I am actually going to buy the driver and then return it under the 90/90. Squarewood for 50 bucks!!!! -
I have some made in China I got and played with for 3 years. I demoed the x22 and it was like the power of Phil took over me. I could not believe the diffrence in the ball flight. It could be mental but whatever works! I think I am only going to go to the PW as well. I just dont feel right hitting a "stock" SW. I think I am going to try the 3. I was going to get a hybrid but I dont have one now so I will not miss it!
-
I am getting the X22's today! Hooray! I was going to get 4-PW but if I get an 8 club set, I get a free wedge!!! I have Warrior wedges now... 52, 56 and 60... I like the Wedges I have but would replace the 56 to give my brother a handmedown!!! Now.... I am getting 4-PW... Do I add the 3? or should I get an AW ? Perhaps the SW and get the wedge a diff Degree? HELP!!

I did what was right and told the golf course... They said don't worry about it. After doing research I learned that morals and law are 2 different things... the law states that the home owner pays period... If he wants someone else to pay he can ask the course or the player... Most courses have insurance for that sort of situation since the design of the course close to houses can be an issue. Morals would say the player pays since he broke the window.... sometimes other factors come into play like having a house 10 feet from the edge of the fairway or having 2 large condo buildings on either side creating a crosswind.... Golf courses and homes have insurance for things like this in regards to property... The Course has insurance for injury..... Some people may not want to put claims through insurance but it is life.... I had a water heater explode... Did I seek money from the company who sold me the heater or the plumber who installed it or the company that made it.... no... I have insurance and they paid... As for the lawyer in question, they work for the DA... they have good morals... they are just stating the law... if someone wanted to claim payment from you they could take you to small claims court or even big boy court... Jury rules in the home owners favor and case law gets changed and the books change... as it is now, Golfers are off the hook UNLESS THEY DO IT ON PURPOSE!!!!

"I'm amazed at the lack of responsibility here. If my house is near a road and someone loses control of his car and crashes into it, should I the homeowner pay for his damage because my house is near a road? The golfer destroyed the home owner's personal property which was on his property. The law is quite clear. Opinions don't matter here, the law (which seems rational to me here) does. There is a chance the golfer's home owner's insurance may pay for this. I've seen this, a friend's dad hit a ball onto a road and broke a motorist's headlight. My friend's dad's insurance paid for it." Offshot hits are a part of the game. We all do not shoot the same score as Tiger!!! People will hit the ball and 95% of the people will hit a bad shot. With your example of the car, chances are the car insurance will pay for a part of it but your home owners will pay for the rest. The law is crazier then common sense... People brake into a house and slip and fall can still sue the homeowner.... They may not win, but they can still sue!!! People sue McDonalds for making coffee too hot... It sucks!!! As far as the law, I asked a Lawyer the answer and he said... Dont offer to pay. Let them try and recover payment from you.

Steel, That is a great idea... I am going to start to sign the balls Tiger Woods!!! That way people will not get mad when it goes thru the window. They will put it up on Ebay!!!
-
I called up the PGA HQ to ask them what to do. One of the guys said it was a part of golf and told me the story of how he hit a shot and it had a crazy bounce off the cart path into the main road and hit a car. As far as the window, if the homeowner did not have insurance and the course did not have insurance then your SOL and should pay up. But all courses and all homes should have insurance for when things like that happen. As long as you didnt aim for the window your ok. He also said he knew I didnt aim for the window because any golfer will tell you it is next to impossable to hit anything you aim for in the golf course!!! This week I will take a week off since I got Tiger Woods on the Wii and want to play that this weekend... but next week I got a tee time ready!!!

This is true... I should know because I use the same arguement about Gun Control with my parents and how if we ban guns, only the bad guys will have them. Tu Che!!!

People insure property incase things happen. Business requires liability insurance, Cars have to have car insurance. McDonalds was lible for making coffee too hot. Foul balls are going to happen in baseball, and bad shots are going to be in golf. If you can avoid risk, one should. People want to live on a golf course, they have to accept the risk. I live in Florida in a hurricane zone. I will have to pay the higher home insurance because I choose to live in a Hurricane zone. The tradeoff, I enjoy year round golf.

The links provide some good reads... it is a very very grey area in the law. I can see all sides and points of view. I also read that living next to a golf course does not increase your insurance rates. I also read a quote from an All State Agent saying, "We (the insurance company) believes the golfer should pay. If he doesn't then we will pay." This tells me that the insurance companies will pay but like all companies just dont really want to!

Hurley, I think what we are all saying is people know risks when they do things. If I make sweet love to a sweet crack ***** from the bronx and don't wear a condom, I should not be surprised when it burns a litte bit. If I were to buy a house next to a golf course or in a flood zone or next to a baseball park or under a volcano, I would make sure to understand the risks before. Your car example is flawed because you say your just going to drive around and hit people. As golfer's we dont try to hit the house or the window. But yes we all have the risk of getting damage or causing damage to cars when we drive... That is why we all need to have car insurance. In Fla it is required. As far as hitting a kid, if you know your backyard is about 5 feet next to the fairway, would you let your kid run around outside?

I do agree with the idea that wild shots are a part of the game! i have been to several tournys and seen the pros hit shots that land in the cart path and almost hit people! i believe even tiger has done it although rare!

I wonder what the law says about it. Anyone know in Florida? The golf course said that most people who lived on the course were told to get hurricane glass since they live in Florida and on a golf course. I understand as the golfer who hit the ball I am the person placing the action on hitting the ball and sending it with such awesome distance and power to take out that window! i understand that most muni clubs have signs although i did not see any sign! this was at a public golf club named PalmAire! does the law change vs a golf community vs just housing on a public course vs a private club???
