  1. Just curious, any of you guys who currently play the 907 Titleist driver sticking with it? Don't get me wrong, the 909's look amazing, but i just got a new shaft and now hitting the D2 a lot more consistent and further than before. I guess I also can't afford a 909.... :(
  2. i tried both and opted for the s300. For me, these were way more consistent and did launch the ball lower. In addition, they are a little heavier, which i like. By the way, I play these on my titleist zm blades.
  3. Hey guys, sorry about my 'joke' comment. Didn't intend to piss anyone off. It was very cool to watch. Oh and you can't beat the cause. I think I'm just jealous of JT!!!
  4. Was this event a joke or was this a chance for a bunch of second tier players to try and make some money? I think the winner shot like -24. I assume the course was set up super easy. I just didn't see any big name players there.
  5. I was playing a buddy a few week ago and he hit two OB off the tee and from my count, took a 13. When i asked him for a score on the next tee, he said he is taking the max (10=double par). I proceeded to tell him there is no such thing as a 'max.' If he hits the ball 30 times on one hole, then he takes a 30. Am i correct?
  6. wow, you sound like bruce lee. :)
  7. i too play the black series #9. to date, its the best putter i've used because its easy to line up short putts. I'm also considering a SC Newport II as back up.
  8. Wow, i picked these up and hit them at the range yesterday. so far, i' noticed the nickel plating makes for very soft feel. one thing to note is that the nippon shafts felt noticable shorter than my clevelands. I wonder if its because these were made for the asian market? I'm asian too, but not too short. I'm about 5' 9 and i'm gripping these wedges close to the butt end.
  9. Yes, they are damn expensive. by no means are these clevelands. I got both wedges with nippon shafts too. :) i'll be sure to let you know how they work on the course when i finally get out there.
  10. I just picked up the Fourteen v4 60 and 56 wedges. I haven't had the chance to play them yet, but i'm super excited. anyone else have experience??
  11. I'm really in need of shoulder surgery due to an injury rollerblading accident in college. My shoulder basically dislocates very easily. Over the last 10 years, I've dislocated it about 20 times and almost drown a few times in Hawaii. I figure I should get this procedure done soon while I'm young enough to heal. The doc says I'll be out for at least 5-months. In that time frame, I'm sure my game will go to the dumps.
  12. Hey all. Just curious if you are able to channel anger into positive energy on the course. For me personally, if I have one blow up hole, my whole round is shot. If you remember one of my posts where the group ahead allegedly stole my ball, I instantly fell apart. I got so angry that I didn't even say a word to buddies in my group for 3 or 4 holes. How do you cope.?
  13. thanks for that. looks like you were the only one who really understood my post.
  14. Well maybe i'm not being as descriptive as i should be. This was a 380 yard par for and i waited until the group ahead hit their 3rd shots and were walking up towards the green. My average drive is about 275 yards to I was definitely in the clear. I've been playing this game for over 20 years. i know the difference between blatantly hitting into someone and accidentally rolling one up within 20 yards of the group ahead. big difference. Regardless, its wrong for someone to take anyones ball. if they didn't like what i did, then lets talk about it.
  15. 6 hr round yesterday. Im not sure what to do. Its really affecting my game since I'm a fairly fast player. ie. no practice swings at all. I walk up and hit. this goes for putts too. I may just stop playing weekend golf altogether and just try to get out once a month on weekdays. Either that or maybe i should continue playing weekend golf and work on my patience. Once a round starts getting super slow, my game falls apart like clockwork
  16. Yesterday, on the 10th hole, it hit a bomb drive up the left side. I probably should have waited another minute or so, but the group ahead (fivesome) has been taking their sweet time the whole front nine. After a shot, they sit there and take 3 or 4 extra practice swings. wtf. Anyhow, when i get to the area where by ball was, its gone. I confronted the group in front of me and they say that they didn't see any balls nor did they pick it up. Normally, it wouldn't bother me so much, but i was playing for money and the lost ball cost me a damn stroke. Fast forward to the last hole, I actually lost by 1 stroke. *rant off*
  17. I've searched far and low and can't find any decent reviews on Nike fairway woods. I know a few tour players use them, but i'm sure they have some special tour issue equipment that the normal joe can't buy. I went to my local shop over the weekend and he shunned me away from the clubs. He says they will be the shortest thing i've ever hit. I actually don't mind this if they go straight. I'm interested to hear your views on this.
  18. it will come. i have a camcorder, but don't have the fire wire to upload to computer yet. i also have no clue how to download to youtube. lol
  19. hey guys, any experience w/ the callaway ft-i squarewood or the TM R7 CGB Max?? thanks I really like deeper faced fairway woods. Seems like a lot of them nowadays are very shallow faced. I can't get used to this.
  20. Today, i had my swing taped in slow motion. I almost cried since my guy put tiger's swing up right next to mine. 4 huge things i was doing wrong. 1. At takeaway, my face was shut and remained that way to the top 2. I was going past parallel 3. right heel was coming off the ground well before striking the ball 4. Swinging more with my arms/hands than turning my shoulder pls help. I though I was a pretty good player until seeing my swing today.
  21. thats good stuff there. #3 is the hardest for me.
  22. Hmm.. I hit my drives anywhere from 275-300 if i get a hold of it. My course does have a few par 4's in the 430-440 range. Lets say i hit it 275 on the 440 par 4. That leaves me about 165 in and thats a strong 8 iron for me. All the others usually only require a PW or 9 iron in. I may just try to hit a hybrid or 3 wood off the tees next time.
  23. try the new TM tour burner. that driver is very sweet
  24. Anyone else feel like this? I normally play a course nearby that runs about 6,800 from the blues. I really like the lay-out, but on just about every part 4, i'm left with nothing more than 8 iron in. I feel that this really hurts me since i don't get to work my 7-4 irons... I'd really like to start playing a course in the 7,200 yard range, but i can just see my handicap skyrocketing. lol
