  1. Hi Guys, I need some recommendations for a few courses in the Edisto Beach, SC area. Heading down next week and would love to hear from some of you that have played the area before. I can travel to Charleston, but would prefer to play at some of the hidden gems a little closer to Edisto. Any input would be appreciated. TIA
  2. Besides the Walker Course in Clemson, what are the better courses to play in your opinion for those of you who have played in the Clemson/Greenville/Anderson SC area? Looking at a few of the AAG courses such as Brookstone and Falcon's Lair. Any of you ever play there? What are your favorites? TIA
  3. Thanks! I was looking more for a free or almost free app, but this one looks very solid.
  4. Just looking for advice from those who use a phone app to keep track of their score and handicap. Which do you prefer? TIA
  5. Wow WUTiger, thanks for all the helpful information! I really appreciate it!
  6. That's exactly what I'm dealing with now. Choking down on my PW or trying to blast my 56* normally results in a less than stellar shot. I believe I've settled on the degree (around 52*), but am now just deciding whether to go with a Titleist AP1 712 gap, or go with a newer Cleveland with zip grooves. Any input? And thanks for the reply.
  7. Sounds fairly similar to what's in my bag. Is your gap wedge matched to your PW or to your other wedges?
  8. I understand that completely. Lately, I have been dead on with a full swing wedge shot with my 60* and 56* (Generally 75 yards for the lob and ~100 with the sand). On the other hand, I love the feel of my Titleist PW, which is CB. Just debating on what I should get that will be best for me if/when I improve.
  9. I was looking at the CG14 wedge for my gap choice. Thanks for the input!
  10. Is your preference for a wedge without a CB mainly for feel? I've been playing for around 2 years now and just now getting into different types of equipment.
  11. Currently, I have a 60* lob, 56* sand wedge, and standard 46* pitching wedge. Just curious as to what others are carrying and why they carry the wedges they do. Also, I feel I need a gap wedge to get to yardages in between my pitching and sand wedges. Any advice on what to get? Currently, I have Titleist AP1 712 irons and Cleveland wedges. Would you recommend going with a gap wedge that matches my iron set, or one that matches my wedges? Thanks
  12. On Saturday, I played the best round of golf I ever have. I played at my home course in Ninety Six, SC. Great weather and very quick greens. I scored an 86 with 7 GIRs, 2 birdies, and 3 pars. I was GIR on 3 of the 4 par 3's, most of which are really difficult. The 3 I hit GIR were around 175 to 185 yards each, and the only one I missed was a 160 yarder. Go figure, huh? Anyway, I hit my approaches much better than I ever have, but still struggled getting off the tee. Also, I didn't take advantage of the par 5's, triple bogeying 2 of 3 (the other being a birdie) Looking forward to warmer days ahead, and hopefully lower scores!
