  1. Yeah it's an awesome show. I liked the goat type thing that was running away from the fox, that was pretty cool.

    Life.

Anyone watching Life on Animal Planet? The camera work on these animals and amazing creatures is well, amazing. Although I hate Oprah I like this one much more than Planet Earth.
  3. This is exactly what happens when I do what I mentioned before. It almost feels like when I turn my left hand straigter, it makes it hard to cock the wrists at an angle towards myself and my swing automatically goes out straighter
  4. Hmm I thought the quality was pretty bad, but maybe its just me. Its just a little digital Nikon Coolpix L20.
  5. I went outside and started toying with some things. When I turn my left hand so its more straight, I can feel my backswing going on plane automatically instead of way inside. Its almost like doing that one thing makes it impossible to swing inside. But then when I start the downswing I feel like Im going to hit a big slice. Maybe its psychological because I cant see a ball but thats just how it feels.
  6. I thought I'd post some videos of my swing so some of you guys could maybe check it out and give me any tips. I seem to be hitting the ball really well this year, my first round out was a 35, but I'd still like some tips. One thing I noticed was that my left hand is turned over pretty far at address. It feels "normal" to me and I hit the ball pretty straight but if I can change it and keep my ball straight I'd like to. Also some of the videos are slightly angled too because of the camera. Anyways, here you go: 6 IRON FRONT: 6 IRON SIDE: DRIVER FRONT: DRIVER SIDE:
  7. I'm just wondering for those who carry less clubs than the actual limit, such as myself (13).
  8. I've always thought about throwing a left handed 7 iron or something in my bag just in case I got caught against a tree or something where I had to hit the ball in an awkward position. Does anyone do this? I know you could just flip around a 3 iron and whack away but I've always thought about it and it could be handy.
  9. Yeah I was going to say if you played more frequently that a neutral club and a lesson or two would be a much better investment. If you're content then that's cool too. I always like the challenge of fixing a swing too thats why I find the draw/fade biased clubs so strange. IMO, whats the point of playing golf to become better and master the swing if people just buy a "quick fix" with a fixed club? But thats in my case where I play constantly and what not. But yes the R7 is a nice club.
  10. If you don't mind me asking, for what reason did you get it with a draw? Just curious.
  11. Im just unsure if the weights would make it completely even or if there would still be a slight degree of draw/fade.
  12. Yes I believe that too. But couldn't I adjust the moveable weights after adjusting the shafts to counter the draw or fade, and then be left with a different loft yet straight flight?
  13. I'm buying a R9 Super Tri TP on monday (9.5 w/ Voodoo NV6), and Im curious. With all the adjustable features on it, would it be possible to change the loft? I hit the ball straight so I dont want to change it to a draw or fade, I'm just wondering if I could adjust the loft to either lower or higher while keeping the angle straight. Thanks
  14. I'm a senior in high school, and our coach has a contract with a website (golfteamproducts.com) and he gets discounted adidas and tmade stuff so I figured I'd go for the R9 super tri TP. He can get amazing discounts on stuff, and I can get the TP super tri for $288 with any of these shafts: Aldila - Voodoo NV6 Voodoo VS6 Fujikura - Motore F1 75 Motore F1 85 Matrix - TP X-Con TP HD6 Mitsubishi - TP Fubuki 63 TP Fubuki 73 Im looking for a low-mid launch trajectory. I dont know my swing stats and what not, I figured Id go to golfsmith today and check out the launch monitors. Im also going to Carls Golfland (MI) tomorrow morning for demo days and I'll test everything out there with the T made rep too. Im just curious, which would you choose out of these shafts and why? thanks, t.
  15. Really? I've always heard and believed that the swing ring would lower accuracy because it causes you to increase your clubhead speed, which would result in less chances of "center of the face contact" and would cause you to spray shots more often.
  16. Because not everyone takes lessons.
  17. Yeah the ones that slide down to the bottom of your club
  18. I've heard that the weighted red rings that you can buy to warm up with can actually harm your swing. Does anyone know if this true? If it is, what's the science behind how it harms ones swing? I bought one last year and used it for a few days but then it started collecting dust after people told me they were harmful.
  19. I'm beginning to go to the indoor range at least twice a week so I can prepare for the spring season, seeing that I play for my high school team (senior). I'm a bit sore in my left side, but luckily Ive been lifting a bit since the season ended so it wont be too bad. I want to go over basic concepts just to make sure my swing will be consistent as possible. Im not talking beginner basics such as "head down" and other starting concepts but more like "spine angle" etc.... A few things that Ive been concentrating on would be making enough rotation with my upper body, and keeping my right leg back in my finish instead of dragging it forward through the swing. What tips would you give or have used to practice pre-season?
  20. This slice starts on target but then scoops up high and way to the right. It looks good at first then BAM. Its gone.
  21. Maybe cutting across with my irons and the latter with my driver. Or both with my driver. Ill try a bunch of things tomorrow.
  22. My new driver is actually a Ping G2 that I used before my Big bertha, but it was snapped in an unfortunate trunk incident I had it reshafted and regripped with a UST shaft and a golf pride grip. But anyway its not only my driver that Im fading/slicing the ball with, its my irons too. I havent had a chance to test the idea, but I think Im taking the club out too much during my backswing. It felt like that when I think back to it, and plus I noticed I was making good contact but cutting across the ball, causing it to cut to the right. Could this be a cause?
  23. Ok heres my dilemma. Last week I wasnt playing so great because of putting but my swing has been consistent with what I usually do. My normal ball flight is a higher launch with a straight/5 yard draw. Then I went out on sunday to test out my new driver. I hit 2 good drives the entire day. Every single ball besides those would get this crazy slice going on. On 12 I put 2 O.B. On 13 I put 3 O.B. It was ridiculous. Same goes for my irons though. They would all fade about 10 yards right of my usual target. Anyone experience this as well and have the cure?
  24. I cant wait for the next episode to see what happens to Sam. Theres always so much left wide open to cover in the next episode which makes it so addicting.
  25. I agree. If you want a new driver, go for a Ping G10 with the Graffaloy ProLaunch Red Shaft. They just lowered the price by $50 because of the new G15 coming up so thats a pretty good deal. The shaft will give your ball a much lower trajectory which will add distance with roll and Ping drivers are really nice.
