What irons do you use not use
Superplumber replied to Superplumber's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Checked out your post I guess my question isn't which club do you not use Question is on average par 4 and par 5 holes and long par 3 holes From tee to green I usually hit driver then pw -58 wedge for par 4 And on par 5 usually driver than 16-20 hybrid then wedge if green is missed Long par 3 180-205. Use 16-20 hybrid Which leaves me rarely using 4-9 iron. Wondering if anyone else had similar issiues or Experiances like this. Making me wonder why I worry about my irons so much This isn't just one course this is over a mix of 5-7 courses From the blue tees. Just curious so chime in -
Hey all. Ok 8-12 handicap I have noticed and tracked the last 10-15 rounds I have noticed that when getti g off the tee box like I am supposed to Seems my average shots are Driver hybrid ( wedge) if I come up short on par 5 On par 4 driver then pw or less Hardly ever hit my irons 4-9 except for a couple par 3s Typically seems like a carry a bag of oh what should I use When really don't use any of them that often What do you guys think how do your rounds go What clubs don't you use

Playin miz mp 57 Wondering if anyone has any idea about iron set Little more forgiving in the 3-5. With some precision in the 6-pw Do ok now wondering what's out there for what I'm looking for Any suggestions would be great

So is it the way you swing or hit the ball that creates backs pin or is it the ball. How does one back the ball up

Just curious what do you find more critical to your game Mid- long irons or short. Irons on in I'm about a 10 handicap I have good days and bad I just started hitting driver this season and I have found my last 5-6 rounds I am hitting driver Then 8-9-pw sw etc. the use of 5 6 7 irons and hybrids have really come to hault I usually hit driver then 5 wood then short wedge. Really want to improve my driver and move back to blue tees just curious what you find a typical round involves with your clubs what is not being used. I played a round today and 3-7 iron never left the bag.

I game the pursuit m510 very good club very long Check your loft compared to the berthas you will see the c510 are more tradional so your probably a club down I found once I got used to my clubs about three holes in my seven iron is about 165 about 10 yards longer than I'm used to. 7-pw fly long straight and reliable. Very good club and feel. My 2 cents worth. I have there 5 wood 240 straight 4 hy 210 dead on 5 hy 190 very good clubs put against any buddies 600 dollar bag anytime -
No problems hitting ball high. I hit the MB flush and good distance it's predictable I know it's going where I want I tested theory today I teed off on a couple holes and the MB long and straight. My x24 were straight but no feel at all like hitting and hoping. I feel as it is time to fill the rest of the order
-
Just wondering I have a set of cally x24s I also have a pursuit forged MB 7 iron 36 degree lofty My cally 7 iron is 31 degrees Why when hit both pure do I get 10-15 yards more distance with the pursuit MB And just seems more accurate then the x24 Any thoughts

What would be the effect of cutting down a 5 wood say 1 to 2 inches to get distance down to 190-200. Appears to be yardage I struggle with. Haven't found a h rid that I hit we'll. I got 5 wood good. Kinda ballon 7 wood gonna try that route also

Does a stiff graphite play diffrent from a stiff steel shaft last shaft fitting i did said to play s300. My irons have reg graphite in them Just bought a new 7 iron in stiff graphite Plays nice. Gamed it yester day and alternated 7 irons shots and flight was better not so balloning more distance and this was a muscleback current clubs are players cb I feel i may be loosing some feel with the graphite Any suggestions input etc is welcomed

My question is what effect do to flexiable shafts have opposed to to stiff I play reg stiff graphite in my irons. Irons 8-sw o issiues good ball flight and carry 7 iron pretty decent go to club but if i go for too much seems to high long fade 5-6 have to start to left for it to come back to target but when i swing 5-6 iron seems like im I dont know how to explain it contact feels loose. Not goood clean flushing but like almost wippy Now i went to get my swing speed checked and golfsmith came up with i should use stiff. S300 was the ideal shaft they said. I like the irons i know when iam not loose my speed is down but when i get loosened up and its warm out i need som control. Any ideas tips. What effect does lie have with ball flight Thanks guys

Ok i crush my 5 wood. Haha for me i do 210-235 hit fairway 85 percent of the time lite rough others. I try and hit driver and it just goes then turns right I have tried practice it and work on it but just seems easier to go 5 wood and keep in play. Tried 3 wood today not very good results so any ideas i do pretty well manging the course but im always on green in 3 on long par 5 should i just plan for that or is there a easier driver loft etc. any help or recomendations would be great

Wow i have heard some dumb questions. Wipe it off and go play. Really
-
So is one easier or longer than the other is current trend on new stuff to be shallow while older models are deeper.
-
Can anyone explain to me what is ment when a fairway wood idealy 5 wood and 3 woods is referred to as shallow face vs deeper face and what that means Thanks

Do you use an app to keep track of scoring?
Superplumber replied to awsmith0454's topic in Golf Talk
How about just keeping score and learning to judge distance. Kinda old school. Electronics on golf course kinda of a waste -
Anyone have transition issiues with distance and feel when going from sgi to players cavitys irons. Just curious played first round today and had some sweet shots and some sweet mistakes but the feel and response was great. Need to re learn distance as my old 7 iron is more like my new 6 iron and shafts are standard lenght wheres my old shafts or iron set were a bit longer from manufacter but control is so much better. Hope to get under control again tommrow
