  1. Par 5 berkleigh country club on Sunday. Hit a 302 yd drive , Obviousely happy about that. 263 left to the pin, pulled out my 3 wood, left it 12' short. Missed eagle, and lipped the birdie putt. At least ended up with par.I was just elated to get on the green in two from 563 yds away. I did it twice. I was driving for show and NOT putting for dough !!!
  2. Sounds like once in awhile you might be unconsciously getting a little too confident and possibly starting to swing a little harder. I do the exact same thing and shoot probably around the same score as you. Im usually in the mid to upper 70's and have about two bad holes. If I could only cut out those 5 or 6 bad shots Good luck. Try slowing down your swing works for me sometimes
  3. I have Literally had exactly the same problem about a month ago. Every ball I hit was on the toe.Let me gues, your hooking everything? I tried everything you can imagine, lessons etc.. Well, I finally figured it out on my own. What I did was widen my backswing low and slow as they say.I also made sure that I was leaning and had pressure on my back foot during my bavkswing. Finally, most imortantly ,I was NOT releasing my wrists upon impact. Make sure when you cock your wrists on your backswing, you remember to release them. Pretend you are actually releasing them about a foot behind the ball, this will insure that it actually uncocks at the right moment. I instantly hit about 30 balls the way I envisioned a drive to look like. Another thing to think about is when you practice swing, it will actually feel and look like a professional swing IF it is done properly. You will swing the driver and strike the ball in a slightly upward blow and finish with the club around your back completely balanced. Hope this isnt confusing. Good luck
  4. Hole # 18 , 569 yd par 5. Hit a 300 yard drive pulled left a bit so I was sitting next to a red hazard stake. 260+ yards to go with a pond in front so the ball had to carry about 240. I smashed my 5 wood pin high to the right of the green.... then proceeded to hit the pin on my eagle shot. Ball rolled 20 ft past the hole. Naturally i three putted and ended up with a bogey. Perfect example of having the ability to smash the ball and still not be able to capitalize on it. Still ended up with an 85 though.
  5. Sounds like ball placement Imo. You probably have it to far forward in your stance. If your topping it with your irons, try to put a little more pressure on your front foot.
  6. 167 yard Ace in the hole last week .Bad thing is that I shot an 81. Didn't help the score much.
