  1. Whats the hardest hole at your home course, 6th hole- 402 not the longest but you can only hit 200-220 as you first shot as it is a 90* dogleg- second shot uphill to a three tiered V.narrow green, and both sides of the fairways are tree-lined, my least favorite hole when it comes to MEDAL DAY!!!!!
  2. Whats the longest hole you have played?(maybe a pic or link) also did it make it impossibly dificult? Mine is a 621 par 5 at Boughton golf course, double dog leg, but i have played it twice and got 6/4 it wasnt that hard, i am long but not the longest so im confused, so i want your oppinion. Heres a link: http://www.pentlandgolf.co.uk/pentland_golf_home2.html
  3. I was wondering what you feel the best feeling in golf is, Mine is when you nail a 4-6 iron with the desired shape to 2 foot past the hole and it checks back to stone dead. You? However Holing a chip or long put is pretty fun too.
  4. When i play with the pro at my course, (which i do quite regularly as i work there aswell), he always moans at me for not cleaning my clubs. I scrape all dirt out of the grooves before my shots and may clean them before a big competition, however in general i dont have the time cos in the summer holidays i play almost every day but i keep them generally respectable, but i was wondering how often all you other peeps clean your clubs and whether it makes a difference.
  5. If you hit consecutive balls out of bounds at your club, in the set up he's talking about, every hole would be three times as narrow and you would need to put every drive 300 yards down the stripes to be able to see the green let alone reach it. And then theres the short game aspect.... So not being rude but you playing off 13 would almost certaintly no be able to, if you think you wud u are dissalusioned
  6. Yes a links course is one that is built on sandy soil, most of the courses where i live are links courses, they are v.tight, and have large tiered greens, they should border the sea, but you also get inland links such as K club in ireland. IMO v.hard to play as they are too tight for my aggressive driving, i do like to play them for a challenge, but i am a member at a parkland course aswell, or as it is described on the scorecard as a "american style". If you want to see some great examples of high quality links courses try the Littlestone GC, Royal st Georges, and Royal Cinque ports websites. (these are near where i live, and are v good courses) Good thing about links courses are that they are cheap to play as there is basically no upkeep, so you can play St georges and Cinque ports for about £15 or $30, and both of these courses havw staged the Brittish Open! Hope this helps, sorry i couldnt help earlier as i am new to this forum.
  7. some do, i was just trying to get a overview of adults opinions, there are alot of more modern thinking adults in my club aswell
  8. if only that was the case here, maybe all of the adults in England are old fashioned,
  9. sorry, didnt think to include that one
  10. obviously, i play county golf, but some adults still dont like it
  11. I have a question for you adult golfers, when i turn up for a competition i often see my proposed playing partners faces groan when they see i am A JUNIOR MEMBER!!!!!! I can understand not wanting to babysit a 11 year old 28 handicapper, but i am 16 and play of 8 and will comfortabley beat half the adults i play with. So i am asking whether you enjoy, dont mind, or loathe playing with JUNIOR GOLFERS!!
  12. No lol, me and my pro were having an arguement about the two posts, and i fout i wud get another opinion.
  13. yes i agree, there is hardly an area, where he is not in top 10 ish, one of the best putting strokes, T12th driving distance, no1 in scrambling by miles, no1 GIR, 12th in birdie conversion Probably why he is no1 in world by missions lol
  14. woops, didnt have that as an option =p
  15. I was glued to the masters, and at the beginning of the week i was sure i wanted tiger to win. However at the end of the week i felt he didnt deserve to make the top 10 let alone finish second. Also every interview after, he said "i was unlucky out there, my putts just didnt go in", i kept thinking, your the magic one, if your round can be not ruined but seriously affected by unlucky putts how the hell am i meant to deal with it. Anyone else have any opinions about how he played/reasoned.
  16. For me it is all about putting, i'm pro-like from 190-110 but useless from 5 feet, hopeless from 10 and pig like from anywhere else. I feel, if i miss a short put, i might aswell of topped my t-shot, but for some reason the second would annoy me soooo much more
  17. Do you think that Tiger will beat jack's major count, i know people will mention jack's 2nd place finishes, but to be honest tiger hacked it round Augusta and finished second, so i really feel tiger will beat Jack
  18. yes i have one they are awesome clubs otherwise X20 Tour or X Tours? both players irons with a cavity, and both forged!
  19. http://www.edwinwattsgolf.com/golf-e...51_-1_1105.htm Try here lots of individual irons, dont know what sort your after, may have to order online though. hope this helps
  20. i got given one, and have never used it, you can get it to click however you swing, also i think it wants you to swing really wristerly
  21. lives v. far away from me, and plays off the same, has my old driver
  22. also i lose most my balls in rough rarely in water, so i also agree $5 or £2.50 to me wasted
  23. You say you liked the mp-57's, have you tried the 60/67's as i feel they are just as forgiving however they feel just that little bit nicer i wud definitley recommend steel shafts as imo they are more responsive, if you want to stck with callaway, X20 tours? when i bought my new irons last year i thought the best were 1. MP-60/67's (feel v.similar) 2.Nike CCi (forged ones) 3.x20 tours (like the project x shaft)
  24. My Fave set would be: Superquad TP 906F4 Fairway woods 13 / 18* MP 60/32/67's X FORGED wedge 53/58* Scotty RedX2 (New one) I would OWN
  25. oh rite.. fair enough, if its not broke why fix it
