  1. So hi guys.. I'm a 9 handicapper and I am looking forward to buying some new vokey wedges and leave my crappy stock sand wedge. I want to buy a 60 degree vokey wedge and a 54 degree plus my 48 pitching wedge i have on my iron set. My set is 4-PW, Driver, 3 wood and a 4 hybrid plus putter. I want to buy a Titalist SM4 or a Clevedon, Which one is better? Simillar price, looks im not sure. And now my most confusing question, what bounce? I do understand how bounce works But I cant seem to know which one is correct for me. I live in New zealand so the weather is hot dry hard fairway no grass in the summer, and super wet soft rainy damp -fat shots- in the winter.. My homecourse has fluffy sand mostly but some bunkers are pretty empty. My swing style is when i chip (ball back in stance, no wrist just putter) I sweep the ball. Some problems with my chips is that i sometimes hit it thin or top it. BUT when i do a pitch shot with my sand or pitching wedge, i seem to create around dollar size divots.< Im not too sure about my divots. Sometimes i have huge divots and i hit it well and sometimes i have no or dollar size divots that are similar. I Also have a tendency to create big divots in greenside bunkers. ANd dig the club into the sand but i think thats more technique than bounce on my stock wedge. I usually hit fat more than thin but maybe thats because its really wet ATM. So please hhelp, needa find the right bounce for me. I go to alot of tournaments etc school competitions so i visit a variety of courses which are harder. Better fairways but thinner bunkers. Thanks. Also my distances for my pitching wedge is about 110 yards (100metres) and 9 Iron : 135 yards (125 metres) Not the llongest hitter but not the shortest. I am gaiining some more distance though.
  2. BIGGEST mistake in your swing right now is that your not shifting your weight from your backswing to your impact. At the backswing, you should put your weight on your right leg and as you go for the downswing, shift your weight and compress the ball into the ground making a divot infront of your ball. This way, you will have more distance. I dont see how your going to even hit over 130yards with that shot. Also turn your body more and go for that sexy finsh.
  3. yeah man, i know my backswing is so overswing. This was just a joke well something i tried to do (Bubba watson tryhard). I usually dont swing it so back haha.
  4. thanks, ill keep practising that. You want me to have more of a inside backswing right?
  5. oh right, please give me advice and things i should work on :) Thanks.
  6. I've been Playing Golf for: 4 months My current handicap index or average score is: I score bogie golf so i usually score around 85-95. Not very consistent. Im new! My typical ball flight is: Drivers: When i hit it well, it goes perfect and goes right up into the sky but when i dont hit it right, it does a huge slice and has hardly any ball flight. (one of my two major problems) The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: I keep hitting my irons fat or not right. (Second major problem) They dont go too far and i keep missing it. When i hit it nice, it goes flying to the left. If not, it goes straight onto demn par 3 greens :D I tried to prevent this problem by trying to make a divot infront of the ball, compressing the ball, inside to inside swing, not leaning back, putting weight on my left heel but something is still not right. Im a junior, new to golf. Videos:
