  1. Pittsburgh Steelers! I couldn't be any happier with the pick of Jarvis Jones OLB - Georgia. Jones, will bring a lot to Pittsburgh's defense and should make an immediate impact. His ability to pass rush is amazing and/or scary, depending on which side of the ball you're on! Luckily, Jones ran a slow 40 time (4.9) at the NFL Combine and that gave the Steelers an opportunity to draft him with the 17th overall pick. In just 2 years at Georgia, Jones had 28 sacks, 45.5 tackles for loss, and 9 forced fumbles. "He's a solid kid, a great player. He was dominant at a major college. He plays the run, chases the ball and, most important, he gets after the passer." -Kevin Colbert -Steelers GM -ZH
  2. I haven't been able to get my typical range sessions in so far this season and my score is showing it! If I remember correctly, I hit 10 of 14 fairways, had 33 putts (+/-1), and hit only 8 of 18 greens in regulation. NOT my best work.. I ended up shooting 88 but I did take a few positives away from my round. I have been struggling in my iron game as of late. My iron play has always been my strong point. However, I was overseas last summer and wasn't able to strike a golf ball until mid September. In addition, I upgraded from my Titleist 755 forged irons to Taylormade Burner 2.0 irons. Last season, I was able to get in 2 range sessions and about 5 rounds of golf before the temperatures dropped and the snow arrived. I felt good about my new irons and struck them solid at the end of last season. My early season swing hasn't come around yet and it's causing major inconsistencies with my iron play. I have no confidence when i look down at the ball, with an iron in my hand. The lack of confidence leads me to disliking: the bulky topline, the wide sole, the huge cavity protruding outward, the thin TM grip, my grip, my swing, my alignment, my trajectory, etc... My dad always said "It's not the arrow, it's the Indian." and he's right! I guess my out of shape muscles need some time.. Then slowly.. my swing will comeback, my ball striking will come back, my confidence will come back, and ultimately the scores will comeback! I suppose, If none of us struggled, then we wouldn't feel as good when we achieve.. -ZH
  3. This made me laugh and I will definitely keep that in mind! haha
  4. Welcome! I'm also new to the forum and I think I can help you. The overall length of a standard Taylormade R11 is 45.75" The entire R11 length is made up of 3 different measurement. Shaft (only): 44" Adapter Tip: 1.25" Driver Head: 1.50" 44" + 1.25" + 1.50" = 46.75" - 1" = 45.75" The 1" subtraction comes from the insertion of the shaft into the adapter tip. So, to have an overall length of 43.75" you subtract the driver head, then adapter tip, and add 1" for the shaft. 43.75" - 1.50" - 1.25" = 41.00" + 1" = 42" For your desired length, shaft with adapter tip should be 42.25" and shaft without adapter tip should be 42" ( note: Finished length can vary depending on how it's measured. Grip vs. no grip, USGA methond, etc.. ) As for cutting the shaft, let me just say..shaft manufactures routinely cut shafts down and do so before they sell them..So, don't listen to the naysayers! In my experience, if you cut 1" or less off, you won't be able to tell a difference in flex, trajectory, etc. BUT I wouldn't consider doing anything over 1"! I would definitely check this website and Ebayl! I hope i was able to help you out! Good luck! -ZH
