Played at a par 64 course last night. Ended up shooting 77 which is definitely an improvement. The sad thing is I could've shaved at least 4 of those strokes off for stupid shots. I had a foot tap in par on 17, and it went in the hole left side and rimmed out and sat there. Just mistakes like those have been costing me strokes that I shouldn't have to take. I'm happy about it though. My irons were inconsistent but I will improve.

Played 9 yesterday. Shot a 43 on a par 36 course. The course plays really tough, but I played fairly good. Had 2 double bogies that didn't help the round, but made 3 par saving putts that were satisfying. My ball striking is becoming better and better. Goal is to break 40 this year, and I definitely think it is possible with the way I am putting and hitting the ball.

Last night was my first time out on grass greens this year. Did a sand green course but that was just for practice. Shot a 45 over 9 holes. Not overly happy about it. I was actually hitting the ball very well. Had a birdie on one of the par 5s and lipped out another birdie on a par 5. I had a couple of pars as well. I had an 8 on a par 3 though :l there is always one inconsistent hole that I have. Hit 2 into the water and was angry. Next hole I birdied. Talk about inconsistent. One thing that did make me mad was on a hole I pushed my par putt about 6 inches past. Clear gimmie range, no one said anything and me being the dumb guy I am, I walked up and stood completely sideways to not stand in the line of one of the others and missed the tap in. I rushed it and it was stupid. Ended up 3 putting. For the first round it wasn't bad though gotta work on consistency!

Hey guys how's it going? I've been lurking this site for a couple of weeks now and figured I should just make an account so I can give some insight on a few threads. I am 20 years old from Canada. The snow is finally gone! (Thank god) I have been playing golf ever since about 10 years old, but had quit for a couple years. I picked it up again about 3 years ago and am not looking back. Play about a 14 handicap but that is slowly going down as I get more consistent. My number one downfall is my consistency. I can go out and birdie a hole easily, and then step up to a par 3 and shoot an 8. I just have to keep working on consistent iron shots as well as driver. Anyways that's about it!
