I came across this and this while looking at reviews for Tiger Woods 10. Looks like a pretty neat swing trainer using the Wii balance board and controller.

Great! I just got a new set of Sumo Hybrid/Irons for Christmas as well. Haven't hit them yet since it's cold and snowy but will shortly.

I think I was also getting confused about what exactly a hybrid replaces. I thought that it would more replace a wood rather than a like numbered iron. Seeing these replies shows I was wrong but I will find out at the range.

The question was probably a bit premature considering I just got these today and haven't hit them yet. I will hit the range this weekend to try them out and see what kind of distances I can get with them. Thanks for the replies.

The set starts with a 4 Hybrid but I also have a 3 Hybrid in the bag.

I just got a set of Nike Sumo Hybrid/Irons. Will these hybrids replace a set of fairway woods? I have used some fairway woods before and couldn't hit them very well. I just don't want to spend the money if I really don't need them.

I am a beginning golfer who has moved recently to Portland, OR. I've only played about 4 rounds of golf this past summer but am still very new to this game.

I'll try them out. My wife went back today and got 1 box each of the Black, Platinum and Ignite for $10 each in original boxes.

Today my wife got me a new set of Nike Sumo Hybrid/Irons 4-PW for $150. She also got a SVTour Wedge 56* for $15. Nike Platinum, Black and Ignite balls were $10 a dozen. She also found a Nike Tour Cart Bag for $30. I love the fact my wife works at Nike!

Does anyone know anything about these balls? My wife picked up a new dozen for $15 at a sample sale at Nike yesterday. They are in a white plain box so I'm sure they aren't production balls.

Is there a certain time that clubs come out like new cars used to? Or is it all random?

I hit my hybrid out of a fairway bunker yesterday. Never tried it before but thought what the heck and hit it about 150 yards out of the sand.

I have a pretty strong grip myself and I wore through a glove in 2 rounds and 6 sessions at the range. This is with a footjoy glove.

Keep in mind that range balls are like hitting rocks. They aren't going to give you the same feel as regular balls. I am probably the opposite of you. I hit fairly well at the range but hit like crap on the course.
