  1. Yeah.. is there anything I could do at home to get better?
  2. We'll see.. doctor visits are expensive. IDK if it's serious, or just from the over massing work I did. I probably practiced nearly 50 or so hours this week
  3. Alright, we'll see. It's not like crippling pain or that kind, but I can feel it just sitting down and it affects my swing. I'm thinking it's just all the time I've worked, and my back is just hurt / sore.. practice a ton this week
  4. Hmm.. interesting. I will probably have to test both out to see which one I like more.. I may have to go with the AP2s if they're a little more "advanced" but not impossible to hit, if you know what I mean.
  5. Okay, I'll ask my parents to see if I should see a doc. I went to a chiropractic nearly a year ago and my spin was all messed up, kinda sickened me.. it helped but was expensive. IDK really, they cracked my neck wayy too hard and gave me headaches. I want my back fixed though, it's effecting my swing. The neck pain doesn't really bother me much
  6. Cool, but the AP2s aren't oversize, but still forgiving? Are they blades, or do they have their own section? Or are they just under "regular", if that's even a possibility.
  7. Thanks a lot man, means a ton. I'll surely keep up the work, and love to discuss the game of golf here.
  8. Is there a way to rid of pain for good, or at least minimize it? My lower back and neck have always bothered me, from sports and taking cheap shots in the back when I was younger from some d-bag football players. Anyway, is there a way to get rid of the lower back pain and neck pain for good, or will it always be with me? What are some things you do to get rid of pain, or at least minimize it. I notice the pain in my back affects my full turn in my swing, also the pull down etc. Tiger Woods has back pain, but he says it's going away. What do you think pros like him do to get rid of it? Obviously I don't have thousands of bucks to spend on some professionals etc.. but will massages help, and possibly chiropractic, or are those myths? Love to hear any tips. Note: I do stretch a lot, and get my muscles warmed up before a practice or workout.. but I still have pain.
  9. Thanks, I'll probably go with the AP2s.. but what are the advantages of blades? More spin and yardage?
  10. Yeah, and JGANC has a lot of tournaments I can get experience in. However, I really want to make the team.. sporting the team polos and bag would be swagalicious. We'll see.. I look forward to it. I know I can do it, I have the skill.. I just need to commit, which is my biggest problem. whenever I commit, I hit great shots after great shots.. but I seem to hold back sometimes when people are watching. I'll get over it.
  11. Thanks for all that info, I'll keep it all in mind. Yeah, we'll see what happens in the spring.. all I could really tell was there was only 4, maybe only 3, golfers who could out shoot me.. but there's two golfers who I know that are going to be the stars of the team, and another who may linger behind them. I think, at this rate if I get my nerves down which I think I will by Spring, I can compete with those two.
  12. So I was going to get the Nike VR Pro Blades for Christmas, but just saw a commercial for the new Titelist AP2 irons.. and dayum they look sweet. A lot of pros stand behind those clubs, but they could just be paid to say that. Anyway, the clubs look amazing and look like they have a great feel. I don't know for sure, but I think I got the vibe that they were oversized, not blades. My Ping i-3's are oversize, but a lot of people I know are moving to blades for some reason. Some people have told me that I need to stick with the oversize as it's an advantage even the best use. Plus, sticking with the same type of gear (oversize Ping's to oversize AP's) would be a good move, right? Than again, I don't even know if the AP's are oversize or what. Anybody have experience with these clubs? Thoughts on them, and should I get them over the Nike VR Pro Blades?
  13. Good for you man, you in college? What are you taking?
  14. Tmac! Where've ya been dawg?
  15. No idea. I'm just going off of what my friend said. Day 7 I practied good, but when I went out with my parents I played like crap. I couldn't control my nerves, but I know what I need to do.. it's commit. Just a line for the entry today, let's see what happens tomorrow .
  16. There's only one team. Varsity and JV are combined as one.
  17. How'd you know I went to Pv?
  18. Because my friend, who's easily going to make the golf team, told me if you want to make the team, you have to be able to shoot in the 70's consistently.
  19. Thanks! Day 6 Wooooo, what a day! I was at the course around 10:30-ish in the morning, and just got back. By the time 5:30 rolled, the greens were so icy and slippery, I slipped twice walking down the hill. Hahaha, luckily nobody was around to see it. I had a full day of work today, and it paid of on the course. I hit about 2-3 buckets on the range, chipped a good amount, and practice my putting a large sum of the day. At 2pm, I decided to go an play some holes. However, I was a wee-bit worried about the outcome as I couldn't seem to get my driver to hit the ball straight. I went up to the clubhouse to get a tee time, and saw that they had the tournament on. The cameras were on Zach Johnson, and he was teeing off. I watched his swing, noticing his hips firing more than anything else. I though "Hm, I wonder if that will work for me." Needless to say, when I went out before my tee off to warm up, it worked like a charm. I was hitting straight shots with ease. The first tee shot I hit was shocking, a bullet straight down the pipe of the fairway, climbing over the trees I aimed to go over for. With a crappy approach shot, which left me with about 20 feet of green the pin.. I ended up three putting for bogey. It would be my last three putt of the day. Although I did bogey the second, I got myself under control and nerves down, and was able to go on a par streak until the 7th hole, where I bogeyed again by a two putt. The chip killed me, but the approach shot from 160 yards is what really hurt me the most. The highlight of the day came on the 15th hole. I cut over from the 8th to the 15th, and teed off. Knocking it in the trees, the ball laid over 240 yards from the pin. It was all or nothing. At this point, I was +3 and didn't want to take anymore strokes. I went for it, turning my hips and shoulders as much as I could, and fired at the ball. The results? Shocking to even me. This is the shot I ended up with: Believe it or not, there it was when I walked up to the green. However, sadly I two putted for just a par. My putting wasn't on like I wanted it to be today, but a good amount of 1 putts saved me from bogeying, and even doubling. From there, it was a smooth ride in from to the 18th. The 18th, things were intense after hitting my drive, as to my surprise 30+ people were on the balcony for a big "christmas" party, even though it's not Christmas yet. Anyway, as I walked up to my shot, I was about 147 or so out, pulling out my 8-iron. Usually, this would call for a 9-iron, but with the cold wind brushing up against me, I decided to use a good extra club. It paid off, as I dropped the ball about 7 feet or so away from the pin. Nearly everyone on the balcony said something aloud, or threw there hands up. Although I was trying to keep focus the entire round, I couldn't help but smile. Things ended with a par, because I missed that putt.. embarrassing in front of so many people, but it was a great round nonetheless. Although I finished on the 18th, I didn't play a full round as I cut over from the 8th. It was a total of 12 holes, and I put up a +4. Honestly, I was not expecting to do this, not even with all the confidence. I was expecting to play somewhat of bogey golf, but I played great today. I'll be playing 18-full holes tomorrow, hopefully I can pull off what I did today.
  20. Haha, my dad actually got them for free when he was working or something like that... they're old, but work great. I'll look into the i5 and i10. I was actually considering the new Nike irons, the VR Blades is my main choice.
  21. Thanks.. maybe I'll get a new set. I've seen some heads on EBay though. Thanks for the advice!
  22. Heading out now! It's 30 degrees out with a chilly fog ... let's see how it goes! I may play 9 holes today.
  23. Laughing my ass off. Really. I can't breath. ugh.. so many idiots running around these forums
  24. Hey all, My Ping i3 club heads, well some of them, are wearing out pretty bad. My PW, 8-iron, 9-iron the metal on them are wearing into the grooves, loosing spin, etc. However, I can't find any on the web.. anybody have any links to buy some? I'm just looking for the heads, I have great shafts.
