Hello hello,
I just wanted to take a second to introduce myself before I dove into this abundance of resources we call The Sand Trap...
My name is Jesseman (Jess-uh-munn) and I am a recent college graduate from the great state of Tennessee. I grew up playing baseball and watching my father play golf. I have always enjoyed the game but never gave it an honest effort. I have played, maybe, 10-15 rounds in the last 7 years or so (graduated from high school in 2007)... most of which involved the consumption of large amounts of alcohol and the betting of small amounts of cash with fraternity brothers.
However, now that I have graduated from college, gotten a big-boy job, and pumped the partying brakes, I have gotten extremely serious about the game.
I"ve never had a lesson nor been fitted for clubs, but I need to do both. Aside from a minimal amount of tips and advice acquired from friends and my father, I've taught myself everything I know so far from watching the pros and the Golf Channel but I know that can only take me so far. I have been spending every evening on the range working on my swing and making adjustments rather than machine-gunning balls with driver only like I used to do and that has been a tremendous help.
Sorry for being a bit long-winded... I look forward to learning a lot and getting better!
