  1. Dude, way too many posts of the same thing. How many polls do you want?
  2. Inside-square-inside may seem more natural. Although, with putting, where the slightest "detour" off midline will cause the ball to veer off. Inside to square to inside is more prone to tangential forces (since you are starting from the inside) that will cause the ball to veer away from you. As opposed to starting off square to begin with.
  3. I agree with that better irons are better for your game. But, it comes at a cost.... My elbows are killing me!
  4. I think buying "new" clubs from sellers are a bit risky. You have to wonder why sellers are selling them new? How did they get them? For free? Why sell them for such a lower price? Or are they counterfeits? Used clubs seem more credible since alot of golfers try clubs and want new ones for whatever reason. Of course, you'll find genuine sets of irons for a great price. But spending $500+ on a set not knowing if they are real isn't worth it for me.
  5. I agree... Nothing feels more satisfying than a long drive straight down the fairway. I guess its so satisfying for me since I rarely hit a decent one. Put my 54 wedge is my fav. You can't hit a wedge but straight.
  6. I'm having trouble squaring the club face on my driver. Even at 1/2 swings, my driver doesn't seem to close fast enough. Of course, on full swings my driver face is even further open. I don't have this problem on my long irons and hybrids... just the driver! Any training aids that can help resolve this nagging problem? The Momentus iron helped me with the irons. I wasn't sure about the driver though. Or any effective drills perhaps? Thanks!
  7. The new TM RAC BLACK TP wedges have great feel to them. Nice looking, and feel pretty good when you hit with them. Try it out.
  8. Has anyone used the Golfsmith's web-based custom-fit recs to get their irons fitted? I was wondering how accurate or close they are to .. let say... to a pro-shop. Any experience with this?
  9. I unfortunately don't have the opportunity to demo these clubs since nobody near carries them. I did however test out the TM forged TP irons. Very nice 'feel' and feedback. Besides, Erik's comment about TP being MORE forgiving, anything else? Are they about the same then? The TM website states you can order shafts with TT DG. Are the standard RP Flighted preferred? Wonder why since most TM have TT DG. Thanks for your comments!
  10. Why did you decide to switch from the Taylormade TP/MB??? Definitely looking for a place to demo them.
  11. I definitely get across parallel, even though I try not to! My elbows probably turn farther than my hips, which restricts my downswing. This probably explains why I slice the ball so much... out to in motion.... More frequently happens when I'm tired and trying to kill the ball... Short of parallel backswing allows for a more compact, but powerful, swing.
  12. How do you like the HiBore? Very tempted to try it out myself as well.
  13. Anyone have any positive/negative experiences with Golf School? If so, which ones? I was thinking about attending one during vacation. Wondering if hours of lessons and tweaking techniques within a few days is worth the tremendous amount of money, or is better to use that money on weekly lessons?
  14. First year surgical resident. Started golf this year, but residency hours are killing golfing opportunities!
