I always figured it was because of the way Augusta National is run, they would never let them put the course on a game. They dont even let women become members, so I am sure letting a video game use the likeness of the course isnt something that is going to happen. So as it is, we play the "Southern Major"

I play video games all the time. In the last few months, I finished up GTA IV, Metal Gear Solid 4, and have now moved on to Madden 09. The new online leagues seem like they are going to be fun. Tiger 09 will be a must buy, I liked the demo. I also play World of Warcraft, but thats a whole different story

I cant complain too much about the Ram's, they served me well for a beginner set. I just know after hitting some different irons at the local shop, I was ready to move on.
-
I have heard nothing but good things about most of the Nickent hybrids, and I acutally just ordered a 3dx RC hybrid iron set. I should be able to let you know more about it in about a week, if they ship quickly (I hope!)
-
So there I was, winning a auction for a used set of Nickent 3DX Hybrid irons with steel shafts (kind of rare to find it seems) when I saw a brand new Nickent 3DX RC set for a reasonable price. Needless to say, I lost the auction for the used clubs, and went straight to the other page and bought the new set. They were listed for 299 + free shipping, but there is a promotion through www.live.com that gives you 25% off a lot of Ebay purchases, and I had a 10% off Ebay purchases coupon, so in the end I am going to end up paying 194.35 shipped! Cant wait till they show up, then I can finally chuck these big box retail RAM irons I have been playing with.

Its called "Golf" Seriously though, happens to me as well. Sometimes I can hit well when I demo a few clubs, other times, I am sure if anybody is watching me, they end up holding laughter in.
-
We have a driving range here, where you hit range balls into the water. The golf balls are all supposed to float to make them easier to pick up for the guy in the boat (yes, everyone aims at him if he goes out in the middle of the day) and the only reason I go there is when my g/f wants to play. Anyway, its sort of the same way for me there. I hit my 5-6-7-8-9 within 5 yards of each other. When I go to any other range with good range balls, things are much more like course distance. It might be some horrible range balls, like these floater ones.

Even with having a decent amount of places to buy golf shoes around here, none of them have anything in a 12 or 13, so I am turning to online stores. My question is, is there any brand that runs quite a bit smaller than what they advertise. For example, I wear a 13 in Nike, but I would hate to order a Foot Joy 13 or Adidas 13 and have it be way tight on me when it shows up. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Acutally no, he isnt one of those types of guys. He was praising the Nickents, saying it was unfortunate that they were going out of business, that it was a shame because he felt they made one of the best hybrids in the business.

So I was at my local course a few days ago, talking about possibly having some KZG's made when I told the clubfitter I was thinking about buying a set of Nickents. He asked if I heard they were going out of business. He said 3-4 months ago he had talked to the Nickent rep for Northern California about starting to be a Nickent dealer, and about a month ago he sent in his paperwork. 2 weeks later he said he received something back saying they were going to be going out of business. Anybody else work where they carry Nickent's confirm this? I dont want to buy some clubs and then the company goes under. I sent a email to Nickent, but I received the standard, "Thanks for your interest in our clubs, if you have questions please contact your local Nickent dealer"

Our regular Wally-World, has the usual selection of mid-level Titleist, Callaway, Nike etc, plus they have Zero Friction tees that I just picked up to try out. The Supercenter however has the higher end Pro V1's, Nike Blacks. It must just all depend on store. Our Target use to have all the high end stuff, but then discounted them all and got rid of them. I bought 2 boxes of Titleist HVC Soft (dont believe they make them anymore, but I love them) and 3 boxes of Pro V1's for just under 50 bucks.

FedEx here doesnt even knock most of the time, let alone want a signature. Sometimes I open the door, and a package is sitting there. Once I had 300 dollars of computer stuff ordered from NewEgg.com, and it was sitting at my front door for about 36 hours begging to be taken, and I live in a apartment complexed so I was ticked off. Better a note than seeing someone playing your clubs I guess.

Who plays Nickent 3DX RC Hybrid/Iron set?
Trogdor replied to shortstop20's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I am looking into that set more, because I cant seem to find the regular 3DX set with a steel shaft anywhere. I definitely want to hit them, but with no Nickent dealer close (there is supposed to be one 30 miles away, but the Pro said he doesnt keep any clubs on site to demo....wtf) I have only hit the regular 3DX set. PM me after you have hit them a couple weeks and let me know how they worked out for ya. -
Because I dont like the taste of it? Beer just does not taste good to me at all. And since I dont drink beer, why cant I have a drink with alcohol in it?
-
I HATE beer. I have never been a big beer drinker, so it was kind of a odd thing when I had a Irish Car Bomb, and wanted to try Guinness without the rest of the recipe. Turns out I love Guinness, for some strange reason.

Ha, funny you say that, because it is a girl. Its a "Girls of the Big 10" issue, and my first thought is maybe she is in the issue. She is from Illinois, and Illinois is in the Big 10 after all. She says she has had issues with Paypal (which I can believe, because I have had a few myself), which is why she doesnt want to pay that way. I will inquire about the drivers license, if she blocks out the numbers I wouldnt think it would be a problem.
-
So every now and then I buy storage units that have not been paid, and the last one I bought came with about 6 years of Playboy. Thinking they might be worth something I put them on Craigslist, and have had a few people from across the country want a certain issue or four. I had someone email me and tell me they would send me a money order, but obviously it could be someone under 18. Is there anyway I can verify their age over the internet, without using Ebay, Paypal etc? Thanks for any help you can provide.
-
Exactly what everyone has said. I bought a complete set at Target for like $130 bucks, found out I liked the game enough to spend more money on it, and now I am looking for another set of irons. They are decent to start out with in my opinion.
-
I have been thinking about getting a set of KZG's. Local Pro Shop at a little 9 hole course has them, I just need to demo some. The club fitter there raves about them, as do many people I run into on the local courses who have them.
-
Man, I probably would of given you $200 for the RAC OS2's!
-
If you are talking about the set with the carbon fiber caps, you can get those on Ebay for cheaper. I saw 209 with free shipping yesterday. I am trying to find them in steel, but its very hard to do. Unless you are left handed, then the steel set is easier to find.
-
I tried ordering the lefthanded version on these on TGW, and it brings up 2 diff shafts (I am assuming telling you steel for iron, graphite for hybrid), so I see how you got yours. At least I know they are out there, its just that these clubs have been around for a couple years now (I even found a review from this site dated August 2006! http://thesandtrap.com/equipment/clu...d_irons_review ) So now I just need to find a righthanded set with the steel shafts.
-
Hmm, maybe I need to place a call to TGW to see if they have anymore kicking around.
-
They try to offer you a billion clubs and options, but I just wanted the hybrid, so I was firm with the guy, and thats all I got. It was like 17 bucks to ship, so now I just have to wait. If I see the shipping charge on my bill, and the club isnt here within 3 days (They are in SoCal, I am up North) then I will just call my credit card and file a complaint.
-
Nope, wasnt an email that I got. I acutally received something in the mail. I triple checked to make sure everything was legit about it, and even asked my credit card company to see what I could do if it did turn out to be a scam. Believe me, I am fully protected if that club doesnt show up at this point...lol.
