  1. I'm a tall guy with a large palm area. My set of clubs with regular grips give me blisters and often slip the clubface open. My other set with larger grips I have no such problem.
  2. I think that only relates to swinging a weighted club directly before you swing your actual club. In regards to practicing, it wont lower your swing speed on the course.
  3. Nickent 4dx tour. Recently got a brand new 9* on ebay for $150 w/ Aldila NV 65-s. Sounds good, looks good, hits bombs, and is workable.
  4. I paid $20 for my ugly-as-hell nickent pipe putter, but it gets the job done. There is not enough technology in a putter to warrant dropping $300 on one, imho.
  5. All full swing Irons (3-wedges) are the best part of my game. I would always make solid contact with great distance/control. However, this has changed in my past 3 rounds. I'm making crappy contact and either pushing it left or slightly hooking it. I've always played with a strong grip and my hands forward of the ball..Could this be part of my problem? Sometimes the club ends up a bit closed at address, which is obviously contributing to the problem. Ive tried to weaken my grip, but it feels completely unnatural and I end up cutting at the ball with an open face and and slicing it. Also in these past 3 rounds, my short game has gotten 10x better and my distance/accuracy with woods has never been better. Any ideas?
  6. I'm playing J33 combo and like em.
  7. I'm looking forward to it. I hate these people who watch golf just for tiger.
  8. Any club is easier to hit from a tee vs. the deck. If you can hit your 4hybrid well, just tee off with that for 18. Everyone wants to hit it far, but its being accurate and staying in play that really matters. I honestly would stop using the 64*. Its just going to hold you back from learning the shots you need. If you dont bump and run, you will never chip any in. Something that helps me is to take 3 practice swings for the chip, address the ball and go. Make the exact same swing for your actual hit (4th swing) as the 3rd practice swing and dont think about a single thing. If you think about the chip, you will end up skulling it.
  9. Is there any particular reason why you use the 64* wedge? What other clubs do you try to chip with, and what problems are you seeing with them? I would shelf the club and work on using an 8/9/pw/sw around the green. Another suggestion (as someone else mentioned) is to keep the driver in your bag for an entire 18. 230 down the middle every time with a 3iron certainly helps work your score down.
