  2. Videos: Spring had a slight setback today after a couple of weeks of pretty nice weather it started snowing again. Ah well it'll get better next week according to the weather service :) Well I've been working on my swing all winter, the trackman results look pretty good and I'm looking forward to getting outside. I'm pondering if the right knee being straight at the top of the back swing will be a problem or not!?! any thoughts on that? /Anpe
  3. Hi I've got some "Down the line" sequences to share, although I haven't really managed to do it the way you suggested yet, If I practice swing without a ball the swing looks better, but when I stand up to a ball I kind of fall back into old patterns ( I'm sure that is the case for many golfers though). Swing speed on the 6iron (to the left) was 99mph, path 2,0 inside out. Swing speed driver 112mph path 1,3 inside out. I suppose the only thing to do is to keep on doing the drill. All the best!!
  4. Ah, okay Will work on that. I'm assuming that doing this will help keeping the club head "Behind "the hands and by doing so preventing coming out-in on impact?
  5. oh, okay I see thanks, I'll have to see If I can manage that with my right wrist it seem like a good drill .
  6. okay, i'm not entirely sure what you're saying :) could you please elaborate :)
  7. Hey :) I posted a clip of me actually hitting a ball. (with some comments too) /A
  8. I get the ball to where I want it most of the time however If I miss I hit a pull hook. My issues are (I’m sure there are more than these ones). I’ve got some physical limitations; my right wrist is stiff (from a motorcycle accident) so I lack the ability to bend it to create proper lag, I still manage to hit the ball long but the ball flight is higher then I would like it to be. I’ve noticed that I have a reverse slot swing, and I don’t like it… In this sequence I’ve tried to begin the Up swing Steeper than I usually do, I’m also standing a bit farther from the ball to prevent me from “shrugging” my shoulders at impact.
  9. I had never heard of Jim Mclean, so I looked him up on youtube, very interesting :). You are right he hardly ever practice golf :) thanks for the feedback :)
  10. This is my youngest son (13) Vincents Golf swing. He Says that he doesn't play golf, but he shot a 32 on our par 29 9 hole course during a School competition earlier this year. He plays Quarterback with the 16 year olds in our lokal American football team, and says that he wants to focus on that, (he's really really good at that too). I would like him to play more golf any thoughts on how to do that? Any thoughts on his swing? I love this game, most days. Anpe
  11. Hi, yeah I could do that but not today, it's snowing outside. my average 7 iron is around 165-175yards, club head speed about 100mph (7I)
  12. Hey. I've been ill most of 2014, you're able to tell that from my dramatic weight loss, this is how my swing looks now at the end of the year. Any thoughts on it?
  13. A winter game -1 Celsius = 30.2 Fahrenheit, pretty cold but a glorious day :) Apart from a blunder on the sixth, where I didn't factor in how the cold weather effects the distance and hit it 10 yards to short and into the water.
  14. Regarding the health, I'm afraid that the fight is still on, but I'll get through it! :) Yeah, florida sounds nice I wouldn't mind relocating there.
  15. Are the golfing gods smiling at you? As you might know I’ve had some health issues this year, in fact I still do but I made the decision to soldier on anyway. If you don’t know and you want to find out read some of my earlier posts here “In the Sand Trap”. Here in Sweden “winter is coming “ but the game is still on. This morning we had: -1 Celsius = 30.2 Fahrenheit, which is pretty cold for golf, but if you dress right and don’t expect to score under par it’s still good fun. In ernest most of the courses in my area have closed down for the season, but there’re two courses still open. Having my season spoiled by my health was probably the best thing that could have happened to my game. Not being able to hit full “power”swings for almost the entire season forsed me to focus on the short game, putting and “feel” instead. Amazingly enough, when I put the driver back in the bag I started hitting it straight and long, I still weigh about 40lbs less then I should and I’ve lost a lot of strenght but I’ve been putting down some seriously good scores on the card. So to quote the Rolling Stones: “You can’t always get what you want but sometimes you get what you need!” So to answer my own question. ’Yeah, they are!’ I hope all of you have had a great season, and have overcome your troubles on and off the course, if that is not the case I hope that you’ll do that nexs season. Seasonal greetings to you! I love this game most days A
  16. I've had about a million different tests done, originally it was my left side that was of interest but they did a full skeleton scan with something called "skint" which is an isotopic camera of sorts. Doing this "skint" thing they found a growth inside my right femur. They couldn't say what it was but they hope that it is benign(as I wrote earlier) I'm now awaiting the next step.
  17. yeah there's something there, I hope it's benign like a cyst or something, but at the moment we don't know. No I didn't mean to lose the weight, I eat boatloads but it just falls off.
  18. It’s been a while since I’ve been here, it’s been a while since I’ve been able to play golf too. I’ve had some health issues this season, my back went out on me and they found something inside my right femur, benign I hope but at this point I don’t yet know. I’ve actually played a couple of rounds now, here at the end of the season, I’ve been doing alright on the course, 76 on a par 71, 77 on a par 72, but I get really tired playing I’ve lost about 30lbs most of it is muscle weight. The good thing that’s come out of this is that I’ve taken the driver out of the bag, I haven’t got the power to hit it anymore, which means I hardly ever miss a fairway.. Well, I love this game most days /A

    Herniated disc

Thanks! I'll look in to it. /A

    Herniated disc

Hey So I’ve recently found out (the hard way) that I’ve got a herniated disc. Not only would my back lock up in painful spasms with pain shooting down my left leg, it also screwed with my timing and made me unable to hit the ball. My back has been sore for quite a while and I didn’t pay it any heed, in retrospect really stupid but what can you do!?! I was doing so well on the course, I played a lot of nine hole rounds due to the fact that I couldn’t manage 18. Shoot a couple of 37’s a couple of 39’s. So now my physician says that I can’t play golf now, maybe do some putting and chipping if it’s not to painful. Any of you guys have experience of herniated discs and such? How long is the healing time? Did you have surgery or how did you recover from it? I love this game, most days! /A
  21. Thanks :) I'll check it out :) A
  22. So I FINALLY got my new (2nd hand) driver last Friday, it's a Mizuno mp-600 fast-track 8.5 degrees with a 44 inch A&D; graphite design prototype tour only 2446 x shaft. All of a sudden I hit the ball straight, long and where I want it to go. Happy happy happy! I'm now thinking weather I should get irons with x-100 shafts? The Dynamic gold s-300 feel a bit soggy now and they tend to go a bit on the high side too. Any thoughts on this? I love this game, most days. A
  23. Yeah for sure! He still prefers play football ( he plays wide receiver and running back). But I think that he's having fun on the range.
  24. This is what i looks like. As the partial father I think it looks good. How shall I convince him to keep going at it? A
  25. So the golf range opened today, here in Gävle Sweden, pretty remarkable since it was covered with snow only three days ago. Fortunately we’ve had three warmish days with wind and the snow vanished and the ground started to dry out. Went there with my golf buddy Ben and my son Vincent. Vincent turns 13 this year and have held a golf club in his hands maybe six times in his life, but he’s got a natural athletic swing, when I got him to understand how to line up towards the target he hit 230meter drives dead straight and there’s more to be found there. The thing he needs to work on is to let loose after the hit and follow through. Ben turns 71 this year but he’s still going strong hcp 10 at the moment but I expect that he’ll be back in single digits very soon. How did I do today? Well the back fence at the driving range is 240m about 262 yards and I hit all my drives over it fades, draws and straight. I hit my spoon into the fence. I had a great day on the range ☺ I love this game (most days) A
