  1. I can think of 2 ways to do this... Find a paint that will hide it enough to not bother you Get some paint stripper and strip the paint away from the channel completely..This would still have the channel for the paint fill but would look like the rest of the putter...
  2. I have seen several interviews as well and Im completely going by feel but when I played with flex for the C tapers it really came down to feel more than anything else. I felt the shaft feel simply died when going stiffer or too stiff in flex. Again this is my feel, my swing, and my experiences.
  3. I agree with the shaft flex being incredibly important with these shafts. I have seen with many shafts you can "power" through a flex that is a bit strong for you. With the C-Tapers I have found it really isnt something you can do. You really have to do your homework and make sure you are swinging your proper flex. I have seen many that fall into the Reg/Reg+ flex but just cant bite the bullet and "go down" to a Regular flex...
  4. I agree completely if you are talking about grips put on with tape and solvent. If you do this it really is a crap shoot if you can get them off. I have never had one balloon on me if I was blowing them both on and off. I have had several circumstances where I have had to try to blow a grip off that was installed with solvent, it has ballooned on me but I was able to bring back to normal by freezing the grip then heating it back up in hot water....
  5. you dont need anything special to take grips on and off clubs. I have been doing it for a long time and have used nothing more than a simple package I bought from Lowes. The "special" tools being offered are rip off and of no real advantage...
  6. Ive been blowing grips on and off for years...My way of doing it (not the only or possibly the proper way) is to use regular masking tape (painters blue tape)...When I blow a grip on I use a mix of water and iso alcohol, this is a solution that will evaporate quickly and leave no residue. The mix gives enough lubrication to slide the grip on and gives plenty of time to re align if needed...
  7. I play KBS Tour in S+ softstepped...I also hit my ball simply WAY TO HIGH, I have a 6 iron C-Taper on the way to see how I like it. I used to play the Project X 6.0 flighted but I dont think they can hold a candle to the feel of the KBS Tour. If you try the C-Taper and they are too low you could look into softstepping which will supposedly raise the ball flight a bit.
  8. I play with a 14 way Titleist bag and love it. I always know where every club is and with my OCD its important I have everything in number order. My GF is also just taking up golf and I have expressed the importance of an empty slot meaning you left your club somewhere on the course...Same with headcovers, always cover woods back up so I know where everything is...
  9. check out Bridgestones new putter line. They are going a very different direction on the counter balance putter. They are able to stand up on their own as well but with a very traditional look.
