Wait, I thought I lived under a bridge. Now I'm in my mom's basement? You sure you're not mad? lol Lemme explain how this works: YOU boldly claim that a company is lying to its customers and even publishing fraudulent data; it's on YOU to provide EVIDENCE. So instead of stomping your feet and daring me like a kindergardener, 1) confirm that you're talking about *THE* True Temper Multi Step Lite, and not just "a TT multi step" and 2) go make a video of yourself weighing the 2 shafts, balancing them at the same point, and lining them up side-by-side. Or just crawl back into your pillow fort in your mom's basement under the bridge.

Lol A troll calling someone a troll. Because obviously, it's so much more reasonable to figure that Gigagolf privately and exclusively conceded to you that they blatantly lie to thousands of customers and even publish phony specs than to figure that maybe... just maybe... you don't know what you're talking about.
-
Oh you mad now. Lol Come to think of it, you didn't say the Feather Flight = Multi-Step Lite. You said the Feather flight "is a TT multi step," which is like saying an orange is a fruit. So giving you the benefit of the doubt and granting you your exclusive conversation with Gigagolf's "head honcho," it probably went something like... LBlack14: OH-EM-GEEEEE!!!!!!111 I has revelation! Is feather flight a multi step? Gigagolf: Um, yeah. Different sections have different length steps. LBlack14: Ooh! Ooh! Wait till I get back on mah internets and tell everyone what liars yew guise are! Bwahahahaha! Ciao! Gigagolf: lolwut?

I figure he's already got the right flex since he actually hit with a bunch of clubs and found one that "felt great." I think there are 2 types of off-the-rack: "zomg gimme them new Callaways, xtra stiff!!!!11" and "lemme hit a few and see what I'm comfortable with." I see your point though. Guess it can't hurt. I'd just make sure he still thinks it feels great after the mods (if any).
-
lol It means he said the club feels great. I'm sure fitting is valuable to people who have a consistent and reliable swing that they're happy with, or are very short or very tall. And if that's the op, then sure, knock yourself out. But if he's like most--inconsistent and still tinkering--how do you know where all the specs "need to be?"

If it ain't broke...

http://mmgolf.com/page/19qse/Home/Contact_Us.html I emailed them a couple weeks ago and never got a reply. I called a few times, no answer. No voice mail either.

If you can do without the "prestige" of Titleist, Golfsmith's own cavity-backed and blade forged irons pop up on eBay. They were called Professional Grind (and later Pro Forged, I think). PHENOMENAL clubs. People with the prestigious name brand stuff often gave me complements on them. I still kick myself for selling them.

Project X flexes = old Rifle flexes?
jscomp replied to jscomp's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
That's strange. Almost shady. Better question: Which Rifle flex would you recommend for someone who finds DG R300 a bit too flexible and S300 a bit too stiff? -
Project X is more money than I'd like to spend right now. If I fall into their 5.5 flex, would an old Rifle 5.5 be the equivalent?

At first I had no idea what you're talking about, but google tells me you're reading what's silk screened on the butt end. Is that right? I'm talking about much further down, towards the tip. There should be another silk screen (not covered by a grip or hosel). Here's a pic of what I mean: http://www.ebay.com/itm/380684452029 Thanks!

^You're not the OP. I'm not discouraging him from going the component route; I did it and was thrilled. I'm just pointing out the simple fact that if he sees a particular Gigagolf club with shaft and grip that suits him, it'd be cheaper and far less hassle than putting together the Golfworks-Hireko equivalent. (Did Golfsmith drop the clubheads? That'd be a shame. Always liked their designs better than Golfworks.) And like I said, they put my set together with grips that weren't offered on their site, so they might be able to give the OP more options as well. He'd have to ask.

^Swing weight scale is another $50 minimum. Plus supplies to change swing weight if needed. Plus ferrules. Plus extra cutting blades (unless they're stronger today than 15 yrs ago). And so on. lol It starts to add up. Gigagolf says their heads do come from manufacturers that make heads for the name brands. Couple that with the name brand shafts and grips they offer and I fail to see how they're only suitable for beginners. Also, I don't know if they still do this, but I did have them install Winn grips that weren't on their site. The up charge was still less than buying them myself, plus it only delayed the order by a day or 2. So I believe they can give you whatever you want from the manufacturers they do business with. You'd have to ask them to be sure. PS - I built a set from components years ago, and am building another now. :)

There's always Gigagolf. :) Even with Dynamic Gold shafts they still come in way cheaper than most name brand sets. Stick with their stock True Temper Feather Flight shafts and they're cheaper still. It even comes out to less than building a set yourself with comparable components because you don't have to buy the tools and supplies.
