  1. Went to the range for the first time since picking the game up again. Worked on key #1 and making a centered pivot. Back when I was playing regularly, I had a lot of lateral movement, so I know this will be the first thing I really have to work on. It's crazy how good of a position the simple centered pivot drills put you in. I'm having trouble dialing back while hitting balls. I'm trying to hit balls with around 50% so I can focus on correct movement, but I find it difficult to execute the movements properly without swinging a bit harder. Something to work on.
  2. Jackson is actually my home town. I just moved here a few years ago. I'm not too familiar with all the courses available to me in the area, but I know a few good places to start. The casinos in Tunica to the south of me have some very nice courses.
  3. Hello, all. My name is Josh, and I am currently residing in Memphis, TN. I've just picked the game back up after taking nearly a decade off. I played competitively during my high school years while working/living on the golf course, but quit once high school was over. I was around a 15 handicap back in the day, and am hoping to get back to breaking 90 by the end of the year. I've got a lot of things to relearn, but I feel like I have a new perspective and much greater insight into the game than I did when I was young, so I'm feeling optimistic. Since I've been away from the game for so long, I'm swinging some pretty old sticks: Ping TiSi driver, some custom fit (not anymore!) Henry Griffitts irons, and some very beat up Cleveland wedges. I'm looking to replace the wedges first, as they are beat to smithereens, and I'll have the irons checked out to see if they still fit, but right now I'm focused on getting back in shape for the game (I've lost a lot of flexibility) and relearning the most basic mechanics. I'm really excited to get back to it, especially now that the internet and places such as this are so widely available for help and guidance.
