Hello, all. My name is Josh, and I am currently residing in Memphis, TN. I've just picked the game back up after taking nearly a decade off. I played competitively during my high school years while working/living on the golf course, but quit once high school was over. I was around a 15 handicap back in the day, and am hoping to get back to breaking 90 by the end of the year.
I've got a lot of things to relearn, but I feel like I have a new perspective and much greater insight into the game than I did when I was young, so I'm feeling optimistic.
Since I've been away from the game for so long, I'm swinging some pretty old sticks: Ping TiSi driver, some custom fit (not anymore!) Henry Griffitts irons, and some very beat up Cleveland wedges. I'm looking to replace the wedges first, as they are beat to smithereens, and I'll have the irons checked out to see if they still fit, but right now I'm focused on getting back in shape for the game (I've lost
a lot
of flexibility) and relearning the most basic mechanics.
I'm really excited to get back to it, especially now that the internet and places such as this are so widely available for help and guidance.
