  1. 19 degree hybrid
  2. Very true. I have the X-20s because I wanted to graduate from my Big Bertha irons, and when I went to the golf shop to demo new irons (practically all the game improvement irons) the X-20 had the familiar appearance when I would aproach the ball. Had to get use to the lighter head weight, but overall I was able to utlize them immeadiately.
  3. My 22* is a 4 That's exactly what I'm afraid of. If I put a 19* in the bag, will it make that much more difference than the 22*
  4. The situation I am trying to describe occurs on my second shot after an errant tee shot. Thats when I pull the hybrid instead of the 3-wood. I guess I am sorta answering my own question here, but it"s suddenly become obvious to me that hitting the hybrid type club just feels more comfortable to me when I am trying to bare down and keep it in play. Most of the time I am just trying to set up an approach shot from the fairway. I just seem to get overwhelmed when I am in the golf store trying to make a selection. There are so many selections to choose from. I have on two seperate occasions almost made it to the counter with a 19 degree Rescue, but just quite can't commit yet. And I also have trouble trusting what the sales associate might be pushing me toward. Maybe some of you can relate.
  5. Actually yes, but on the courses I play there are a lot of up hill 2nd shots on the long par 5s and my 3 wood shot with the Steelhead has a low tragectory which doesn't always seem to work for me. My Hybrid is a medium predictable trajectory and ball flight. I have never owned a 5 wood and have only hit a few at Edwin Watts into the simulator, which didn't really give me a true sense of what the ball flight and roll would be with my swing. I guess what I am asking is for some of you to share with me your choice of what you hit when your 3-wood isn't quite the answer. Plus, I have room for one more club in my bag and need something to round it out. And yes, I have all the Wedges (I intend to carry) covered. Thanks.
  6. Ok here's the deal, when I get into trouble off the tee on a long par 5, eight times out of ten I will reach for my 22 degree Rescue Mid (steel shafted) instead of my Steelhead fairway 3. I guess I have to just admit that I feel more comfortable keeping the ball in play with a hybrid. I seem to get 180 to 200 out of the Mid with a nice and smooth strike. But, I feel like I could fill in a yardage gap (200 to 220) with maybe a 19 degree 3 hybrid, or something like a 4 or 5 wood. What do you think? Bag is as follows, Driver- King Cobra 460cc 3 Wood- Callaway Steelhead Fairway 22 Degree Taylormade Rescue Mid 4 thru sandwedge Callaway X-20 irons Lob- CG14 cleveland Putter- McGregor V-Foil
  7. My current "go to club" from the fairway is my Taylormade Rescue 22 degree. I am just more comfortable hitting it off the deck than I am with my steelhead 3. What would compliment the Rescue? a 19 degree? Something new on the market? I am looking for just a little more distance using the same swing setup. Thanks.
  8. Same here.
  9. Apocalypse Now
  10. Firearms in general, but mostly semi-auto carbines.
  11. I like to hit the Maxfli Noodle and Walmart always seems to have a decent deal on them here.
