  1. Also, a few people said I should consider a "Pro" set. Why, with my handicap should I consider a set that wont give me the most forgiveness? Maybe I'm wrong, but I think I should stick with the MOST forgiving irons that suit me. Later, maybe I'll improve enough to make the move to "Pro" Irons.
  2. one of the shops today said I should consider the Ping G20. Anybody have any thoughts on these? I haven't tried these, but they appear to be a couple yrs old. Thoughts?
  3. If I'm a high handicap player, does it really matter what ball I play with? I usually play with a softer ball, as a better golfer told me that with my slower swing speed, I should go with a softer ball. Is that true? I usually play with Noodles, or Pinnacle Gold (made in the USA). Any thoughts?
  4. I'm ready to get more into my game and try to improve. I'm a high handicap player with an old set of blades that were given to me. I'm ready to buy a new set of Game Improvement irons, and have been looking at the Callaway XHot, X2Hot, and Razor X. I want to set a limit of $500. I've read good reviews on XHot, and even Diablo Edge, but was thinking that the newer sets, like the X2Hot would have newer technology in them, and would be the way to go. Am I wrong? Any ideas or thoughts on these clubs? How would you rank them? Also, are there others that you would consider in that price range? Thanks
  5. I'm not a good golfer. :( But... I use the Adams Idea Hybrid, and LOVE it. It is one of my favorite clubs. Forgiving and straight.
  6. Howdy from Texas. Just joined, and hope to learn from you guys. Trying to get into playing more golf and getting better. Guessed on handicap. Just know that I usually shoot about 100 - 110. Need a new set of clubs. Using an OLD set of Cleveland blades, with hard dried grips, that were given to me. Thinking of buying a set of super game improvement irons to start with. Any ideas? Anyway, glad to be here.
