I carry 14 now. Years ago when I used a carry bag, I would often carry either even or odd # irons to lighten the load leaving the driver out also. It was good practice since the gaps between clubs were doubled. I would learn to hit a lot more shots.

I've recently been bouncing between the 4i and a gap wedge depending how I feel that day but I said goodbye to my 3i long ago in favor of hybrids.

Sounds like a 3 or 4h would fill that gap. Some of these newer hybrids have some pretty hot faces and you may hit the 3h as far as you hit your 5 wood. Try a few clubs out on a Trackman and see what works best.

Just last night I was comparing the orange and the black dot ping eye 2 SW and the orange dot was quite a bit flatter then the black dot. I believe the black dot is standard lie.

I like the look and price of this hybrid. GolfWorks has a kit that's selling for $50.00. That might be hard to pass up if it's a decent club. Who's gamin' these?

I may have gotten lucky with my irons but I still have woods and hybrids to work out. I also have another set of irons that I'd like to try a light weight shaft with a lower kick point.

I just switched from TT Dynamic Gold s300 to r300 in my blades and I couldn't be happier. I'm 51 now so my swing has mellowed some over the years but the r300 shaft got me back some distance and a higher ball flight. I can also feel the clubhead better throughout the swing. It's loading and unloading perfectly. I've never really had a pro club fitting but I would like to. I have a Golfsmith near me with a GolfTec. Anybody here get fitted with the GolfTec system? They charge $125.00 for a full fitting . I'm open to alternatives.

I'm also over 50 and about a club shorter than I used to be. I believe a lighter shaft would fit the bill for me. I'm also interested in KBS and Project X.

Anybody using these shafts? I did a Shaftfit on the True Temper site and it suggested this shaft for my swing. I've mostly used Dynamic Gold so these light weight shafts seem a bit of a stretch for me. Let me know what you think of the XP95.
