  2. I'm sure the GG is a good system, but I went with arccos and it's worked great. I clip my iphone onto my push cart & go golf. Every so often it has a hick up but overall no problems. As for the sensors.. When I first got the package one didn't work. I sent it back to arrcos meanwhile they sent me a replacement no questions asked. Plus I bought a couple extra for back up. They screw into the top of your grips and are in pretty sturdy. I just made it a habit not to just drop my clubs in my bag to prevent damaging them.
  3. Arrcos has a Facebook promotion code out right now "FB2015" for $100 off right now. If anybody is interested.
  4. Question: Do you have to be a member of a golf club in order to have a USGA handicap?
  5. Frisch Auf valley country club, La Grange TX 9 hole course 69.3/112 Shot a 63 on 9 holes. Totally bombed the first hole +8, green surrounded by water. Took drowning a couple of balls/strokes to get to the green from the fairway. Really windy day, ironically good with the driver today. Everything else today was lacking.
  6. When I started playing I was nervous about playing with other people. I play a lot by myself but now enjoy it when I have the oppurtunity to ask someone if they'd like to play together, or be asked to play with others. I put it out there that I'm not very good so take it or leave it & every time so far I've had a good time even making some new golf buddies. I've learned that there's pretty good odds that they probably aren't any better than me. There's way more bad golfers than good ones
  7. Hey y'all from East Tx. I just discovered/joined the site, great info here. Started golfing this past summer & have really enjoyed it.
  8. I just discovered/joined this site. Great info here. I've been playing for about 6 months, scoring anywhere between 105-120, HP calculator says I'm at at a 40 currently. I recently had my first swing lesson where we touched on the basic swing fundamentals. Before the lesson I was pretty much going through the basic amateur motions of scooping the ball/no divot, using every club in the bag. But since my lesson I've been applying the fundamentals trying to hit the ball correctly. After the lesson I quickly learned I'm best with my 7-9 irons but really struggle with lower irons. Tell me does this strategy make sense to some of you. I've been playing my last several rounds using only my driver (I hit it fairly straight 150-200yds), 7-9irons, wedges & putter. As I get better I will gradually add the other clubs. I know it will be awhile before my score will start reflecting & I'm fine with that. I just want to hit the ball correctly.
