  1. G'day Golf Nuts. Just a little hello from me down in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. I'm an Aussie who's been here now for 10 years, and loving this part of paradise. I've found it one of the most perfect places for golf i've ever been. Yep, the courses are a little expensive, but when you're in a desert, and water is not east yo come by, the running costs are pretty high. Being a small golfing population, with the majority of players being tourists, the courses have to make their money for the year during the high tourist season. I came here for the SCUBA, and made a business out of golf. I run a small company offering golf and activity packages to people wanting to come down to visit. Cabo is a blast with so many things to do. With kids and so many other activities to do, I never get to play as much golf as I'd like... but does anyone? Ash
  2. Bringing back the thread from the dead, Cabo has some spectacular courses, but you're right, it's not cheap. You can sort some deals, and I don't mean timeshare presentations. Afternoons, multiple rounds, etc. there's a few tricks to getting good rates down here, you just have to find the right person sometimes. Also depends a lot on the time of year. if you're heading back sometime, I can give you the latest tricks. Now with so many courses (13 currently although some are private), you can normally find some kind of deal
  3. Just stumbled upon this, and I do realize that it's a few years old now. Interesting to read. I remember the planning stages of the Tiger Course. I thought it would stumble and fall like his others too, but no. It's open. Two new courses opened last year, plus a third did sort of a re-opening (Chileno) Actually the courses are still pretty slow, but do get their share of traffic during the season. There are currently 13 courses open in the Los Cabos area, with 2 more in La Paz. Another 9 holes are due to open in PLC this year, and another 3 courses planned for the area in the near future. (Including a second Tiger Woods Course) Golfers Paradise in Cabo. Everything came back well after hurricane Odile on the course front.
