  1. 3 to pitch
  2. I have a set of Taylormade Rac LT 2005 verison The set is in great condition... used very little the badge fell off of two of the irons... Standard L/L T-step 110 stiff Asking $180
  3. Have a set of Mizuno MX-100 4 and 5 hybrid 6-G R300 shaft Standard L/L Asking $200 only thing that is bad about this is that I lost one of the head cover to the hybrid... Great set of sticks...
  4. Lets see... First picked up a club when I was 30, now almost 33 First time out shot a 140, could not even hit the ball. I remember standing on the FRIST TEE for the first time... 8 of us total 2 groups of 4. I was the last one to hit, I took 5 swings and miss, and I remember some of the guys just started to leave the tee box and said forget it. That was when I took the game serious and vow to kick thier butts. Break 100 It took me about 4 months to break 100 Jan 1, 2009 Break 90 Feb 15, 2009 Break 80 April 11, 2010 This is going into my third year of golf and I am a low 80's shooter, with breaking 80 twice with a 78 and 79. I hope that I get better as time goes on, Some things I learn to help me shoot lower scores. 1. Don't need to hit driver every hole. 2. All you got to do is two putt, GIR means par, miss the green Bogey, you can live with that then your going to shoot better scores. 3. Don't care about what the next person is shooting or what club they are using, use what YOU PLAY BEST, and USE YOUR SHOT. 4. When in trouble punch out and take your bogey. 5. When in the sand, just get it onto the green, dont care where as long as it is out of the sand and you are putting. (Putting gives you a chance to save par, hitting another sand shot does not.) These tips here have really helped me play better then my partners.
  5. Forgot to mention... they do have two PGA Golf Instructor (free lessons) there and do have a DEMO Area for hitting... they also have a Main Stage for Seminars... which is really good. I enjoy the show alot and plan on attending...
  6. First time was last year. My take on it... just a big swap meet... like a flea market just that it is just all GOLF STUFF you can find good deals on clubs and balls and everything in between. They have some seminars which is good, and also some golfing contest. (long drive, long putt and hole in one) Bring some cash to buy all the things you think might improve your game. Going to be looking for a cheap 5 hybrid and some hand picked PRO V1. Hope that helps.
  7. Well let's just start this out... Front nine, driver was not too bad, irons were okay. Shot +11 on the front... could not even play boogey golf... (just a little over a year of playing golf) Then something crazy happen... I decided to play my ball position on the back 9 more in the middle and leave my club about 1 to 1.5 inches away from the ball so I can hold my release longer... Bang!!! Shot the best 9 ever!!! 1 over, got all my ups and down besides 1 hole and 3 putted once. Also got a Birdie. That feeling was great shooting 11 in the front and 1 in the back for a score of 84... I should of broke 80 but my front dragged me down... but I kept my chin up and it was a great back nine... Just wanted to share with you guys...
  8. Does that mean I am a time bomb waiting to shoot Par or under...
  9. I second this... you can get them used for about $60-70 and they are stupid easy to hit and can be worked easliy Got mine off the bay for $65 shipped with a GD Persihing shaft and it is my money club when my driver does not want to behave...
  10. Any southeast PA scratch golfer around??? If so PM me... there is a golf tournament if you are interested?
  11. Wondering what is the safest go to shot off the tee, a power fade or a draw. Which one and why? I am thinking a power fade for me, because the draw does not always happen.

    3 wood help

I have a 07 burner 3 wood 15* goes about 220-230 always short on par 5 about 15-20 yards of the green. Was thinking about getting a strong 3 wood Nike Sumo2 13* Regular and try to gain an extra 15-20 yards. Is this possible because of the loft and flex to get that extra 15-20 yards to reach the green in two on par 5. did or does anyone see any increase in distance from going from a 15* stiff to a 13* regular in yardage increase... thanks all
  13. I have been addressing my shots with all my clubs with a toe up and giving me a nice flight with a little 5 yard draw at the end. Does anyone else do this...? Is this the correct way you should address and setup to hit a shot... or should you lay the bottome of the club flat on the ground? thanks all
  14. I was in the same shoe a month ago. It was between the Cleveland CG14 or Vokey's I went witht he CG14 and have no regrets... I demo both the 52* at Golf Galaxy... The CG14 felt the best to me and felt great, on miss hits it still went out there. The Vokey's are nice but was to heavy for me... (which I really really wanted to buy the Vokey's) and on miss hits... they were not forgiving for me. Your best bet is to go to the store and tape up both of the two wedges and swing away... By the way I got the CG14 in black peral 52* and 58* was thinking about ditching my MP-60 Pitching wedge and getting a 46* CG14... time will tell
  15. I use to be short... but somehow... within the month my distence has gotten better... and here is the new stat... Driver: 240-260 3 wood: 225 4 hybird: 185-200 3 iron: 195-220 4 iron: 185-195 5 iron: 175-185 6 iron: 160-170 7 iron: 150-160 8 iron: 140-150 9 iron: 135-140 P wedge: 120-125 52* wedge: 100-115 58* wedge: 75-100
  16. Say what you want... I still want to work on my irons before putting. I want to work on one aspect of the game at a time. There is no need to try to work on everything at once. I want to get better at my Iron Striking and course management and setup for my goto club on my approach shot. Call it BS or whatever you want, but I just started playing and I know I suck, by my iron is the best part of my game which I have been working on. Why work on so many aspect of the game all at once instead of just one peice at a time... Oh well... People got a right to their opioion... Call it BS or say I am stupid for want to learn my irons instead of putting... I want to spend the next month on my iron to really improve that part of my game and then I can concentrate on Putting... Like I said Don't want to try to many things at once. that is when too many things go wrong... for everyone with the encouragement... thank you and for the great idea about the two ball putting... THANK YOU FLAME ON
  17. I had lots of 4 putts and one 5 putt... The putter is killing me, I am on the green in regs only had 5 holes that I miss the green but chip it about 10 foot of the hole on the miss green... but can not putt to save my life... even a 2 foot putt kills me. I think I need to get me some lesson on putting. I need more stokes on the putting green then it does for me to reach it. STUPID I KNOW. All par threes was on the green in one, but then 3 putt... what the heck... I always putt for birdie on most holes but walk about with bogie or double bogie on most holes... That is the must frustrating thing to me right now...
  18. Had an idea about wanting to play my irons better... So I went out with a 5i, 9i, 58* and putter Played from the White tees and shot a 96 should of broke 80 but putting killed me like always. Does anyone think this was good or is it just me... My tee shots were going 185-200 yards and nice and stright, better then the driver that was going 280 on a good shot, but don't forget about the bad shots that duck hook or slice, LOL I think I am going to concentrate on my irons for a month and see now my scores improve... and become better at my iron striking... Any positive or negitive about this... On a side note, I was out together with a lonesome and we pair up and I out drove him with my 5i over his driver on every hole... he was not very long with his driver at all... and he was having trouble on every tee shot. He has been playing for 16 years and he is an older gentlemen probably in his 50's I guess youth was on my side off the tee
  19. love playing the HX Hot and have been trying around my local Wal-Mart for this sweet deal... but none to find... others still are reporting to get this deal up till today still I am gonna keep trying... if you don't want to go to Wal-mart to find out the prices... you can just call... the SKU Number is 064233180550 Let me know if you find any
  20. Went and swung both Liked the CG14 the best so I picked up the 52 & 58 hit the course right away, was on a par 5 good drive and a nice 3 wood... 100 yard up hill small green... hit the 52 full swing... hit the back of the green and it spin back... first time I ever seen it in my life... did it two more times that day... Love the wedges... Can't wait to go and hit it again Thursday, Friday and Saturday...
  21. I want a 52/53 8* bounce and a 58 8* bounce I was looking at Cleveland's website and do not understand their website... My other choice is the Vokey SM which they have the correct numbering system... Someone point me in the right direction.... for the Cleveland... thanks and if you perfer one over the other...
  22. I practice very hard every night, in my garage... on my swing, trying to nail down my swing and how I should swing... it was a long and trying 7 months and I changed my swing like 20 different times, until I found my right footing, right ball position and slow take away and smooth swing, I don't swing out of my shoes, I said IF I swing out of my shoes I get 230 which for me does not matter, I stick to my smooth and very consistent swing Note: I do competitive Archery and I shoot pretty good, and I took what I learn from my 20 years of Archery and applied it to golf and make the learning curve a very quick transition for me.... Golf and Archery is pretty much the same... but I found golf to be more fun... I practice hard because both my brothers and brother in-law play golf and they always bet money, at least GREEN FEEs worth... so that is a lot of dough in the end... losing sucks... so I practice hard so I don't have to lose and play golf for free... Playing golf for free is always good in fact I play my next two rounds for free... this site ROCKS...
  23. I am playing the Hot Shot because it was helping with my slice with my old driver... I am trying out ProV1 and Wilson 50 & Zip as far as playing with the MP 60 I LOVE THEM I still have my first set 7 months ago I got brand spakin new... Adams Idea A3 I could hit them but nothing as well as the MP 60 and for the Adams Hybrid I can not hit them to save my life... so that was when I went out to demo a lot of clubs and the MP 60 was the best feeling and best shot to shot for me... so yeah I know I am a beginner and should not play MP 60 but those things are deadly accute for me... I may not be long, but now that I got a good swing done that I can repeat... I always putt for birdie on par 3 and if I am within 145 yards of the green I am on... (before I had to use my 3 wood and slow it down to play par 3's but now I took some time and work on my iron swing... it is money now) I was having trouble with my wedges and could not hit them... but after this past weekend I found out what I was doing wrong, that was why I was able to post a 88... Now only if I didn't have a +3 and +5 = (being stupid) on my score card last week I could have shot a 82 easy... but those are the mistakes I will not make again... trying to go over trees and through trees is not a good idea... boogie is better then a triple or +5 on the score card... thanks all for the reply, I just thought I was short on my irons... by the way... I play stiff because it gives me more accuracy... my Adams was regular and I could not hit them, and they felt loose at the bottom if you know what I mean... then I hit the stiff and it was night and day for me... right now I just got to stop 3 putting when I have a birdie shot... (hate 3 putting...) I put the Scotty Cameron away and going back to my Sabertooth for this weekend and see if I can post a better score with a different putter...)
  24. Nike Sumo 5900 UST Profroce V2 Stiff 9.5 240-260 Taylormade Burner 3 Wood Graphite Design Persing stiff 195-220 Taylormade Burner 5 Wood Fujikura ZCOM Stiff 175-190 Taylormade Burner Rescue 5 25* Stock Shaft stiff 165-175 Mizuno MP-60 5-PW S300 shaft 5i 155-165 6i 145-155 7i 140-145 8i 135-140 9i 125-135 PW 110-120 Adams Tom Watson Series Wedges 52 70-100 56 45-70 60 25-40 I just started 7 months ago and shot an 88 this past weekend... I am decent with my striking, not the best but trying very hard... I am playing well I guess for 7 months worth and no lesson, I am 32 at 5'8" 180lbs and it seems like my distence are SO SHORT compare to the average player... or is it all just in my head... I hear people hitting thier 3 wood out to 250-260 yards... I can not do that I try to swing out of my shoes and the best was 230 let me know if my distence on clubs are good and my chocies are good... or what would you change... (to me right now I would change my wedges, was thinking about the new VR wedges... those thing look sweet) Thanks All
  25. I have major pet peeves... One SLOW PLAYERS who take for every for their routine... just hit the dang thing already People who through a fit about missing putts or miss hitting the greens... People who throw clubs and say it is the club and not them... People who can not get out of the tee box and think they should hit driver every fricken hole... (when they should hit something else) People who hit more then one ball, or take practice hits after they duff one... (This one piss me off the most) People who make bets then have no money... or come play golf and have no money...
