  1. You cheated.
  2. The pain that Tiger's been in has got to be wearing on him mentally as well as physically. Given the circumstances, Rocco may have the advantage. I think he takes it.
  3. Thanks for the advice. I'll cherish it always.
  4. Agreed. Listened to a little of Rocco's post round presser, and it seemed that all he did was answer questions about Tiger. The guy shot his way into a playoff in the U.S. Open, and he gets to answer questions about another golfer. Happens all the time. I was getting a little tired of ESPN's coverage on Friday as well. It was as you described above, except it seemed to be 5 minutes of Woods/Mickelson/Scott, and 5 seconds of someone else. I like Tiger, and he is amazing to watch. But, the media goes WAY overboard.
  5. All time - 77 (38-39) This year - 80 (42-38)
  6. Logan Valley - Wakefield, NE Small nine hole course, but fun to play.
  7. What's your home course, allin? You're right about Taylor. Line better block better this year. With Cory Ross gone, Taylor could get eaten alive.
  8. I'm not sure if this will work for you, but my main focus starting any tournament round is swing tempo. On the first tee (and for the first few holes) my entire focus is on my tempo. I know that if my tempo is good, I will have good results from the shot. During a round, most any errant shot from me is a result of being way to quick in my transition. Pull hooks and blades can easily be a result of a swing that is out of tempo or out of sync. I'm not a teaching pro, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express earlier this week.
  9. Tiger was a victim of taking too much time off. Golf is a game of consistency. Give him time to start putting together consistent swings, and he will be the Tiger of old.
  10. As I've always understood, it's the middle 10 out of the last 20. Low 5 and high 5 get tossed.
  11. Tonight, I hit a pure 90 yard wedge that landed exactly where I pictured, bounced twice and spun back to within two feet. It felt and turned out perfect. Made the putt for the bird.
  12. Well, I guess this is the place to announce my arrival. I sure hope there are no hazing rituals. In case you haven't figured it out, a Smoke Eater is a common nickname for a firefighter. I have spent the last 8 years as a FF/EMT. In my list of priorities, golf falls only below my family and the Huskers (I am from Nebraska). The only thing I like more than talking (and attending) Husker sports is talking (and playing) golf. If I start doing too much of either, just tell me to shut up.
