I work in such a golf-friendly company that they actually let me practice on the grounds. There's just enough room on the lawn to smack around Point 3 practice balls with a pitching wedge and not wind up in the street or parking lot, even with a moderate hook or slice (although I have nearly.... "faded" a few onto the roof of the building). I eventually felt guilty enough about all the divots that I bought a ball striking mat to reduce damage to the grounds. Anyone else get to play at work?

Several years ago I was in a traveling job and passed various golf courses on the road. Over time, I found myself thinking, "Man, I wanna be out there!" Turned out my driving partner was thinking the same thing, and we pitched in together for a joint lesson on a range a few blocks from the office. He never picked up a club again, but I became instantly addicted.

I actually found 08 to be unplayable, but have beaten 09 in a variety of ways on my 360. Sure, I wish I could play a new Links, but it's good.

I was several feet into the woods off the 14th green, the nearest side of which was elevated just enough to make it a blind shot. I holed it out, but didn't actually believe it until I saw the hole in the cup!

I turned 38 a few weeks back. Been golfing for several years.
