My name is Matt, and I am a 40 year old college senior at UNM, still after that BS in Biology. I married way above myself and Margie has kept me around (for amusement, i think) for almost 10 years now. I have a (step)son graduating from UNM Medical school in May as a Plastic Surgeon...I'll look young forever!!!! As far as my golf game, I have been playing since 1987, and have been practicing/playing seriously for three years. I live a couple of blocks away from a nice facility with lighted driving range and a 7 hole pitch-and-put, along with a local New Mexican restaurant/bar, so I can get a bunch of practicing in. I seem to be stuck in the 80s and cannot seem to get over the hump.

My goal for 2009 is to break 80, consistently.

I am 40 years old. I have been playing since my freshman year in college, 22 years ago. In Feb. '08, I had several weeks off and became a range rat for real. Up until then, I had just practiced while playing or warming up. I shaved 6 strokes off of my game and am now a firm believer in the value of good practice.

I am in my third full-time (plus) semester at the University of New Mexico in continued, dogged pursuit of my BS in Biology. As such, I get quite a bit if time to surf the net and am very gload to have found a good, golf specific forum.
