  1. I recently within the last two weeks have seen my putting game excel immensely. I was told to keep more weight to the front of my body and also to have the ball in-between your front foot/middle of your stance so you can roll the ball with your stroke. Now I swear to god I am two putting everything unless I'm under 6-8 feet which is normally a one putt. I also envision my putter and arms/shoulders to move like a pendulum. Your backstroke distance should be the same distance as your actual stroke if that makes sense?... If not your body/stroke will be out of tempo and can cause you to push the ball further than what you would like or to under power the putt. Hope this helps!
  2. That's perfectly fine and I full on understand any doubts that people have. That just makes someone with the drive to do something they want to do that much more. Thank you guys for your comments and trust me I'm here to stay for the long haul.
  3. Yes, I have been playing Par 3 9 holes for the past few weeks, but those holes are 195 yards and under. The 18 holes I just played at on Sunday was a Par 72 not a Par 54... If I shot an 87 on a Par 54 I would be totally embarrassed of myself. I have a devoted mind to this game and most of you guys probably hear this a lot, but I truly believe I can get into the Web.com Tour within a few years if I take lessons, keep playing avidly like I do already, and don't get discouraged after a few bad days. Thanks for your guys input though, I truly appreciate it. I'll upload a video in a few days to show you guys my swing to see if you guys can critique it for me as well.
  4. I was playing with my girlfriend on a 9 hole and chipped a shot in from 6-8 yards out for my first birdie ever on the 9th hole. 9th hole is 146 yards and I put my 9i 2 yards short of the green I played the green perfectly... it was an uphill shot and the pin was to the left. Shot the ball to the right and it took the best break ever to sink it. I turned around as soon as it happened to see if she saw. Her jaw was dropped like "Did you really just do that?". It is definitely something I won't forget.
  5. Today I played at my first 18 hole ever and I shot an 87 which I heard isn't too shabby for a first timer. I shot a 42 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine. I'm still young to the game though, relatively 5.5 weeks into the game but I have an athletic background to me which helps a lot. The only problem that I have right now is that I get into my head too quickly and that ruined me in the back nine. I'm only 22 years old as well, so I have a lot of learning to do. Any tips on how to improve my game? Struggling area's are chipping and sometimes hooking the hell out of my drive. Putting is usually a two putt if I'm on the green... sometimes one if I'm under an 8 footer.
  6. Hey all, I recently just started golf up agian within the past 5 weeks. I'm new to the game, but then again I'm not so new since I played when I was around the age of 10. I'm 22 years old now and extremely passionate about it once again. I have only been playing Par 27 9 holes for the past month or so and started off my first round with a 47. Just yesterday I shot my lowest score ever... a 29 with my first birdie ever which just so happened to be a chip-in from about 8 yards out. I absolutely love this sport again and fell head over heels with it.
