  1. oh no i can spin my wedges heh... i was just wondering what the rifle spinner shafts did. i currently started looking into shafts and stuff cuz i got curious.. i didint really know they were that a big of a deal till recently. i just dont udnerstand how a shaft can help put more spin on the ball. been playing golf for about 2 years and just started playing competititvely, yet after playing for so long i know nothing about clubs, shafts, etc.. i feel dumb =/
  2. i swing at about 115-120, my currnet shaft feels weak, and my coach suggests that i should switch to an extra stiff. also does anybody recommend a certain shaft? hopefully after i decide whiich shaft sounds good i will go to golfsmith and hopefully they will have some extra stiff shafts that i can demo on the launch monitor.
  3. time has come for me to switch to an x-stiff for my driver, and hybrid, so i decide to search the internet for a shaft that seemed to fit me. im looking and looking and i realize i dont know what any of the shaft terminiology means. i was wondering if u anyone could tell me what words like torque, weight of club, spinrate, and all that good stuff means and what it affects. much appreciation thanks. oh yeah i was also wondering if the rifle spinner shafts dramatically increase spin on wedges... if thats what they r spose to do... lol
  4. hmm ill try that thanks ^^
  5. just out of curiosity does anyone know what flex shafts most tour pros use?
  6. paintintg putters sounds pretty cool.. but scotty's cost too much i wudnt want to risk ruining my putter heh
  7. so lately ive been playing a lot and when ur playing a lot i guess you tend to pick up a couple bad habits... so ive picked up a new habit... i tend to swing the club out on take away... any tips or tricks that will help me bring the club back straight?
  8. i want more accuracy with my driver and hybrid and 3 wood... should i go to an x-stiff? i swing at about 120 mph. how do you know if its time to get a stiffer shaft? Also ive been using only a 56 degree and left my 60 degree in the closet cuz i dint have room in my bag, and its been fine, but will a lob wedge help me chip any better?
  9. just awhile ago i bought two wedges: spin milled 56 and 60 degree. i use the 56 but decided to not use the 60 degree because i had no room.. i needed a gap wedge cuz my distance gaps are wierd.. cuz i hit my p wedge about 135 and gap around 120 and sand wedge about 110. my current pithcing wedge is a mx-23 and it is 45 degrees. i ordered the 695mb's a few days ago and was wondering if the since the pithcing wedge is 48 degrees will i be hitting it shorter? will i hit all my irons shorter? the mx-23's are like 3 degrees less than the 695's on every iron.... i think.... i would like to decrease the huge gaps between all my irons and take out the gap wedge hopefully and use the lob.
  10. driver : little over 6 months 3wood: 2years irons: currently im using mizuno mx-23's and have been for about 2 years (i just ordered 695 mb's couple days ago and waiting for them to come) SW LW GW: 2 months putter: 4 months
  11. instead of getting a 2-iron i looked for a club that would go perfectly between my 3 iron (230) and my 3 wood (270) and i came up with a 16 degree rescue (240-250) heh hybrids can save your life.. easier to hit than a 2 iron IMHO and way better than a 5 wood :) you should definitely try one out. hybrids are getting to be quite popular
  12. so i dont know much about golf clubs.. i just hit them as best as i can haha. Just wondering about shafts and stuff. I just buy clubs from the shop and just use the stock shaft, is that bad? When i go to tourneys everyone seems to be talking about their custom new shaft they put in or whatever.. makes me feel sad :P
