  1. Just my opinion but I hope to see many head to heads this year when BOTH of them are on their game
  2. First off welcome to the game. As far as your question goes there really two ways that you could go depending on what your budget is. You could go for a starter thats brand new. A decent one should cost you around 200 to 400 dollars. The down side to doing this is that most of the time if you decide you want to get serious about this game these clubs are often not adaquate choices for more than 1 to 2 seasons. If you go this route then I suggest going to golfgalaxy.com and checking out the maxfli or adams tight lies sets. The seem decent and priced fairly competitively. The way I would personally opt for if I were you is to go either a golf galaxy or golfsmith and tell the salesmen your situation that you're a new golfer looking for a some clubs. They'll show you starter sets but they'll also show you used irons and woods. Personally, I would by a good used set of Callaways for 300 or so and then get a driver and a fairway wood and a hybrid. Then pick up a putter and a bag. No matter what you do, I don't recommend buying anything without swinging it and hitting afew balls first if possible. Make sure you're comfortable with the clubs.
