  1. Below is the feedback I received from Lamkin Customer Service: "There is a white upside down V shape on the bottom hand of the training grip. The point on this V is basically the spot that you want to use to line this grip up to the clubface. This point should be lined up parallel to the leading edge of the clubface."
  2. Just getting back into golf, and my grip needs work. Purchased a couple of Lamkin Training Grips to install on a few of my clubs. However, I am not sure how to align them properly (no instructions on their website). Does anyone how any experience installing these grips? Thanks in advance!
  3. I'm a weekend duffer, who plays strictly for fun. I ususally drink 5 or 6 on the front, then another 5 or 6 on the back. I typically always shoot better on the back. Dont know if its from the buzz of from being warmed up. (My first swing of the day is always on #1 tee box). After a few beers I tend to loosen up and quit thinking so much and just hit the ball.
  4. I just bout the golf pride new decades two days ago. Someone had the local golf shop order them and he never came and got them. They sold them to me for a mere $3 a piece!!!! couldnt pass it up.
  5. I have been hitting EVERYTHING off the hossel lately. Went to golf tech last night, and got a swing diagnosis. Video showed me too close to the ball at set up, coming too steep on downswing, and the club face was WIDE OPEN at impact. He tweaked my setup, which got my swing closer to being on plane. I went out to the range and started hitting 3/4 shots with my irons. They went dead straight. If i took a full swing I would shank it. As for now, i will stay with the 3/4 swing and progressivly move towards a full swing. Problem is, i tried to trasfer this technique to the driver but i got absolutely no success in doing so. (Topped everything or hit it dead left on the ground about 10 yards) Why wont this work with the driver?????
  6. Just signed up. Anyone ever had one? What can i expect to get out of it? This is my first step into taking golf serious and really trying to improve. Lessons soon to follow!
  7. What if you dont have an established handicap yet? Say you only have 5-6 rounds to enter. Then i beleive you are supposed to use your lowest differential out of the 5 or 6 rounds. But how do you determine the max number of strokes you can post on a given hole in this situation??
  8. I agree, this seems like a flawed system. If i understand it correctly, a 40 handi and a scratch golfer can play a round and both shoot 180. (not likely, just using this for the sake of argument). The 40 has to post the 180, and the scratch gets to post a 108. Doesnt seem fair.
  9. Thanks David, that helps alot. So far this year my HI is 30.1. (The 28 i have posted was just a quess, I just recently figured out how to calculate this). So keep pace of play up, I will start picking up after 9 strokes .
  10. My short game is so bad that if there is no hazards between me and the green, i have resorted to putting from about 65 yards and in. From there i know i can at least get the ball on the green 98% of the time. Pitching and chipping will get me on the green about 50% at best. Works for me, although i wouldnt suggest it. Unless you like getting strange looks from everyone on the course when you pull out the flat iron on the fairway!
  11. What is the rule on this?? Is there a maximum number you can make on a hole, or is it infinity?? Typically I will take a double par as the max. (Just to speed up play. I hate holding my group/ the whole course up). My golfing buddies all played high-school golf back in the day, and they said in tournaments the highest number they could post was a 9. Is this a common rule? Thanks for any help on this.
  12. Thanks for the tip squaddie!
  13. I was wondering why your handicap was pi!
