  1. Right now ive got Golf Pride Tour Wrap full cords on my irons and wedges. I really like the rough and full texture they give, plus the cord handles moisture pretty well. But some of those new black widow grips look pretty sick too
  2. Is it possible to put an I-MIX shaft into a regular head?
  3. Right now, I use the Taylormade 07 Burner in the stock regular flex shaft. A while back, I picked up a barely- used Callaway FT-i I-MIX driver with a Grafalloy ProLaunch Platinum stiff shaft for $75 at Golf Galaxy just cause it was a good deal. I could never really hit the Callaway and was happy with my Burner, so I decided to try and sell it. My first attempt at selling the Callaway flopped, so I took it to the range the other day just to see if I could hit it now( I have made some drastic changes to my driver swing), and it turns out I can hit it ok now. I really like the stiff shaft, but I'm not so sure about the head and vice versa with my Burner. Do you think I should sell or trade in the Callaway and look into a brand new driver? Or should I just try and get used to the Callaway head? Or should I look into reshafting my Burner with a good stiff shaft and get rid of the FT-i? I have no clue what to do and any advice would be appreciated. P.S. My swing speed is in the stiff flex range and my irons are stiff.
  4. Today I stopped in to Golf Galaxy to get some clubs regripped. While waiting, I happened to wander over to their used clubs rack that had about 10 drivers on it and a Callaway FT-i iMix driver(with a stiff flex Grafalloy ProLaunch Platinum shaft) caught my eye. It was in good condition, and when I picked it up to see how much it was, I was completely surprised. $74.99!!!!!!!! Even though I didn't "need" it, I couldn't pass up a deal like this. After getting it home and cleaning all the scuffs off it, it looks about as close to brand new as you can get. Just thought I'd share my fun little experience with the forum. Anyone else find similar or even better deals in the used racks?
  5. Thanks for the responses everyone. I went to the range on Sunday and hit the 2008 AP1s and absolutely loved them. I ordered them yesterday morning so they should be here by Friday . I guess I was misleading on my original post. I read on multiple forums that the Ping i10s were not as forgiving as I believed. Its not "bad", they're just not for me(yet). Thanks again
  6. I have recently been looking at getting new irons. I hate the huge head, sole, topline and offset of my current Slingshots. The offset causes can sometimes cause some nasty hooks and I launch the Slingshots waay too high (I think). I am looking for a smaller club head and less offset. I have already hit the Ping i10s and really liked them, but I have recently heard some bad things about them. Any opinions on the i10s or what other irons should I try out? P.S. I didn't really keep a handicap this past season, but I usually shot between mid high 80s and mid low 90s. I play about five times a week and am going to play even more this season. Thanks
  7. I HATE reaching a par 5 green in two great shots only to end up three putting for a par. ARGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Whenever I am swinging my driver and sometimes my fairway woods, my left(leading) shoulder cracks at the top of my back swing. I can feel it happening, but the reason Im wondering how to get rid of it dis because at times it is very distracting. It is so loud that my playing partners and my golf coach can all hear it. I am reasonably flexible, but would extra stretching help? Or has anyone else experienced this and have a way to fix it.
  9. WOW THAT IS GREAT HAHA!!! Wish I had that kind of luck on the course...
  10. I started out this season having trouble hitting a draw so I stopped opening my clubface at the top of my swing. I kind of figured it was a "quick fix" and used it because I didn't want to make drastic changes to my swing and having them go wrong in the middle of a match. Since then I have started opening the clubface back up at the top and have been much more consistent
  11. I think I am the most streaky golfer the world has ever seen( not really but you know what i mean). I can sometimes play down to a sub-10 handicap and sometimes up to a mid-twenties handicap. When all of my game is working, it really works. When none of it is working, it really does not work. Its always either all or nothing. I don't know how to fix this serious issue. I know that it usually skip back a day of playing and when I come back, it is usually better to a certain degree. Does anyone have suggestions on how to expel this inconsistency from my game? Or does anyone know of a way to fix these problems on the course? Any suggestions help. Thanks
  12. Any places online with lower prices?
  13. I'm not being sarcastic but am looking into getting one. What is a good place to look for Scottys less than $300???
  14. I had the same thoughts when picking out a Vokey lob wedge this spring. My sand wedge has al of bounce so I went with the 4• bounce, 60• loft and I couldn't be happier. I almost never find myself hitting ths club fat and the grind on the sole is great for opening up the face for some pretty flop shots! Definitely go with the 4• bounce!!!
  15. I have heard great things about these irons and am looking into getting a set. Which irons in this line are more forgiving than the others? Also, please tell me if you know a place with good prices on these irons, new or used( im not looking to spend a fortune).
