  1. Hi Guys, First season back playing after shattering my wrist 2 years ago and having some titanium put in. I used to play Mizuno MP60's with DGs300 shafts. After playing for about 2 months i am getting no where near the distance i used too so went for a club fitting yesterday. As expected my club speed and ball speed were too slow for the shaft. club speed at 67mph and ball speed at 95mph. After trying out the new burner 09 with the 85g regular steel shaft my club speed was upto 74mph and ball speed 107mph. with a 6 iron my specs were as follows 170yard carry with launch angle of 23 degrees and spin rate of 3250. I am seriously considering getting a set but would like to hear if you guys have any other recommendations based on the above and whether you think these would be a good purchase. Cheers Jock
  2. I think you would be better playing the lower lofted driver if you can hit it. You will get a more penetrating ball flight and longer carry if hit well. If struggling with the 10.5 go for a 11.5 you will be amazed at the difference a degree makes!
  3. Playing links golf in Scotland i sometimes use my putter for chipping!!! I am also of the opinion that you want to get the ball rolling as soon as possible and for that you are better placed using a lesser lofted club than the 60 degree. At the end of the day it is all down to feel so whatever you feel comfortable with is best!
  4. I play a hybrid about an inch left of centre but it very much depends on how you swing.
  5. I have to agree that pro v feel great of the putter face, also good are the new srixon z-star!
  6. Without a doubt - penfold commando!!
