  3. Thanks. I’m reluctant to use GolfNow to book the tee time only because of the negative reviews. But I think I will give them a try. Especially since the guy at the golf course was going to charge me $12 extra. 😡
  4. I’m looking for some suggestions. What is the best method you’ve used to book a tee time? I’ve looked at GolfNow but have read so many negative reviews. I looked at EZLinks but they’re not at all courses. Case in point; I wanted to book a tee time at Marine Park GC in Brooklyn, NY. You can walk 18 holes. GolfNow price is $46 after 1pm. EZLinks says no tee times available. I called the golf course directly and person told me he has a 9am tee time for $56. Are there any other options that have worked for you?
  5. Wedge update. I now have a 60 and 56 degree wedge. Mack Daddy 4. Love them. If it ever stops snowing here in NY, I can practice with them and see how they feel.
  6. Thanks for the advice.
  7. Pete’s? I will try to locate him. Thanks
  8. I’m getting a static fitting for my driver, hybrids and irons, and I also need new grips to be put on. I have all my recommended adjustment measurements (lie angle, club length, etc) from my golf coach. I live in Queens, NY. What places would you highly recommend?
  9. I had been looking at a SBK travel case which price wise would work out but I saw a few reviews that complained about there being no room to put their golf shoes in with their bag. When I went to Scottsdale years ago, and used my Bag Boy, I was able to put everything in there, including extra clothes. Bottom line is I want my clubs to arrive in 1 piece.
  10. I have a Bag Boy soft sided travel case that I used one time about 9 years ago. It’s still in good condition so I’m thinking I will use it again. On the positive side, I’ll be able to put my golf shoes and stuff in it as well.
  11. Thanks. I will look it up.
  12. I’m traveling to Florida in a couple of weeks. I’m flying JetBlue. What hard sided golf bags can anyone recommend.
  13. Thanks Dave.
  14. Cost is a factor. Clubs arriving intact is a factor as well. Since I’m taking the wife, I could use the money spent on Ship Sticks to take her out to dinner. ? I haven’t booked the flights yet, but I’m figuring that when I do, I can call the airline and find out how much is the costs for oversized bags.
  15. Thanks for the input. My trust issues were not so much about my clubs but my other items in my bag. Specifically my GPS watch, which is no issue, cause I will just remove it. To be on the safe side I’ll probably choose the 2 day option, as I don’t need them overnight.
  16. Does anyone have any experience using Ship Sticks? I’m flying to Orlando in February and am taking my clubs with me. Last time I took my clubs was about 9 years ago on a golf trip to Scottsdale, Az. and I took them with me on the flight. I have a travel bag that’s very good, but was wondering if it would be easier to use Ship Sticks. The quote I got was $200 round trip (2 business days traveling each way) from New York to Orlando. I can have my clubs dropped off at the golf course I’ll be at, but I’m not sure that they or the items in my bag will be ok, unattended. Guess I have trust issues. At the moment I’m not sure if this is the way I want to go. Thanks in advance
  17. After 8 years away from golf when I was just learning, I've started back up again. New equipment, lessons, etc. Yesterday, after 8 years away, I went to the driving range. Just like riding a bike, nothing had changed. Topped shots, slices, a few good chip shots. Just like riding a bike. Lol! Looking on the bright side, I've got all winter to solve these issues. I had fun though. I'll be ready by the time spring shows up.
  18. Thanks for the suggestion. I will look at some ski thermals. Thanks. Quick question. Any particular kind or brand of winter gloves?
  19. I live in New York and would like to go to the range and maybe get in a round or two before the real winter shows up. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what to wear that will keep me warm? Thermal shirt, thermal underwear? I've heard about Under Armour and Nike just to name two.
  20. Unfortunately this won't work for me. My time is extremely limited with a lot of commitments.
  21. Probably wouldn't be worth it for me, because my time is so limited. Thanks though for the info.
  22. Sounds good. It looks like there are more courses and options with GolfNow.
  23. Thanks. I will try that.
