  1. Thanks, 3ballsgolf.com is the place I found the Callaway's set at. I'm weary of ebay clubs, I know a lot of people get their stuff off there but you can't trust them all...
  2. I started playing golf about a year ago, starting first on a cheap local par-3 course. I recently started playing at a full executive course and really enjoy it. I haven't taken lessons yet (too expensive and not much time for them), just trying to learn from my friend and what I read and see on instructional videos. Anyway, right now I'm using a really old set of clubs and they don't always feel comfortable. For instance, the handles are made from some kind of leather wrapping, almost like wicker and don't have a good feel (too thin and hard). I've been researching used club sets and kept finding that Callaway Big Bertha irons get good reviews and keep reading that they are a good set for people starting out, because they are forgiving and are comfortable to use. I've found a couple places online that have 2004 sets for about $200+shipping. They usually include irons 4 or 5 to 10. Is this a decent set of clubs for a beginner? And what size driver is good for a beginner? I just got one from my grandfather that is more comfortable than my friend's one that I have to share when playing. His is pretty oversized and unweilding to use. i think the one I just got is like 430cc
  3. I forgot to mention that, check all door/window sills/surrounds. Don't rely on screen doors to keep any bugs out, they never do. Like he said, ant traps just leave dead ants everywhere for you to clean up.
  4. I can't remember any brand names, but the kind of insecticide you spray on the perimeter of your house usually work best, and I think there are brands that you also can spray on the inner perimeters.

  6. Exercising definitely makes me feel good, it keeps up my metabolism and relieves stress. I've also discovered that eating healthy is just as, if not more effective at keeping my energy level high and fatigue/laziness low. I use a lot of healthy eating tips from Men's Health books and the magazine. There are too many diet plans out there. But a lot of people fail to realize you don't need to go on a diet, you can eat as much as you want as long as you're eating the right foods. I've never been overweight, though in the past I've not had proper eating habits. I read a lot about nutrition in the "Abs Diet" book series. Even though 'diet' is in the title it really just explains the healthy natural foods that you should eat a lot of, and why processed/fast-foods are so bad for you. The most basic rule for a food is you should be able to trace it to something natural (eggs, lean meat, fruits/veggies, low-fat dairy, whole-grain wheats) As for exercising, I lift weights at least 3X a week with just-cardio days 2X a week. A strong core (abs, lower back) is critical in really any sport out there, because it provides stabilization and balance. To increase your metabolism it is wise to KEEP EATING throughout the day, small meals in between breakfast/lunch/dinner. You can never eat too many veggies/fruits, they are great snacks, so are simple things like natural trail mix with nuts and dried fruits. And drink a lot of water, often times you can mistake thirst for hunger.
