  1. Thank you again. I'll try and focus on that
  2. Had a go at getting the backswing and downswing more on the line. I think theras definitely improvement there. Didn't strike the ball quite as well as I usually would but I assume that is a product of a change feeling a bit alien at first. I'll just keep practising this way till it feels more normal to me. Hi

Thanks. I think it will get a lot harder from here to drop the handicap.
  5. When you put it that way my mechanics sound rather inefficient... Thanks a lot. I'll work on that at my next practice session.
  6. Thank you very much for replying. Am I right in thinking a sensible first step would be getting the backswing onto the line?
  7. Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone has played the albatross course at golf national? I am thinking of making the trip with 3 friends in early spring. It obviously looked amazing on television this year. My only reservation is how playable it is for average players. I will be our highest handicap player with a UK handicap 16. Will we able to enjoy the course or might it be too much of a battle. Thanks

    Hi

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and thought I'd say hello. I had played social golf (4 or 5 rounds a year) for a long time but started playing regularly a year ago. Really enjoying giving it more time. Started with a 24 handicap which is now 16 (in the UK system). I enjoy improving but not that score focussed. At the moment just trying to make the most of having joined a club and dping golf trips with friends. Any recommended UK courses for a trip would be great! My game is on the erratic side currently so looking to reign that in. It tends to be more a mix if pars and lost balls than steady bogeys. If nothing else I need to get a bit more control to reduce my spend on golf balls! Anyway, Looking forward to using the forum.
  9. I've been Playing Golf for: I played im a very casual way (4 or 5 rounds a year with friends) since i was in my teens but played regularly for 1 year My current handicap index or average score is: 16 (UK handicap) My typical ball flight is: small draw on good days and big hook on bad days The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: big hook https://youtu.be/Attu9hDISQ4 [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] Hi guys. These are clips of me in the practice nets earlier this week. My main problem is over drawing the ball and every now and again hitting a big push. Strike and distance is probably a bit better than my handicap but control is worse. If I shoot 88 it's more likely to be 10 pars and 8 doubles than steady bogey golf with a couple of pars. Would be very appreciative to hear people's thoughts. Thanks
