    My First Nine

Haha, everybody's horrible when they start, thats just the way it is. It's funny the way those shots like your GIR can mess with you. One shot can make all the previous frustration go away, if only for a moment, and all of a sudden your hooked. Your on the right track to work on the putting, nobody scores without that club working (look at tiger for example). Keep playing as much as you can as well. You'll learn more playing real golf even on a garbage course than you will on the range. When you don't have time to play, work on your woods and hybrids on the range, they'll help you a lot once you learn how to hit em.
  2. I play a Taylor Made V-Steel 13 degree tour spoon model and I love it. Normally goes 275-280, but I can get a little more out of it when necessary. It's not much more consistant than the driver so I'll use it more often when there's trouble 300 yds or more of the tee and I want to lay back. In either case, I'll typically choke-down an inch on the grip when playing it off the tee to help this. It depends on the course, but on average I'll usually play that or the hybrid (much more accurate) 2 or 3 times a round from the tee box.
  3. I agree except for the first point. I think this year has shown the depth of talent on tour right now. Jack may have had a few better players to contend with on a weekly basis, but TW has had to play against (and sometimes get beaten by as we've just seen) guys from a broader field. I'll also give Jack the nod, but I don't know for how much longer - tiger will be in his prime for a while yet.
