I know what you're trying to say. Some people get to the course and just hit the ball without thinking about game management. I have learned to sometimes, lay up at a yardage that fits my game.

I just bought the Titleist 913 13F and 913H 19* Hybrid. They both have adjustable shafts like the Titleist driver. I'm playing them in the neutral setting but it's nice to be able to adjust them if needed.

I put one on my SC KOMBI about a month ago. I like it better than the original grip.

I didn't think about them not being correct from Ping. I can apply tape and check them to my swing. I'll ask at my course and see if someone there can check them. It's about a 90 minute drive to Golfsmith.

Well I'm back home from the fitting at Golfsmith in Birmingham. I hit the i20s, AP1 712s, Callaway ??? and G25s. The G25 green dot, regular shafts were the right irons for me. I ordered them so in two weeks they should be at my door. Thanks for all the info. I went ahead and bought a Ping cart bag while I was there.

I'm playing the 2008 AP1s and have a itch to buy new irons. Are the new AP1s a lot different than the 2008s? I'm looking at the AP2s also but was wanting to know about the difference in the AP1s. Thanks.

I was at the Monday practice round. He was with Tiger and was very slow during his practice round. Tiger waited for him to finish with his arms crossed on the 10th green before they walked to the 11th tee. I wasn't suprised when I heard about the penalty.

I had a new grip put on my SC Kombi putter, tees, and a new head cover for my 3 wood.

I'm back at it after only playing about 4 times last year. I went to my Titleist 690.CBs about a month ago. I'm getting better but not where I want to be. Sig line.....

I've had the same problem a few times with my SC Kombi. I'm playing late in the evenings now so it's not a problem when the sun is setting.

I bought a dozen of Z-Star Srixon Yellows and played them today for the first time. They really glow in the fairway and when you hit a long iron onto a green you know where your ball is. They spin and stop like other similarly priced balls and are pretty durable too. I like them a lot. I always watch my ball untill it stops rolling or goes out of sight when I hit one out of bounds. It helps not to turn your head when you know you've hit a bad shot then go to where you think the ball went and try to find it. Keep your eye on it untill you can't see it anymore. I learned this when I bird hunted in my twenties. I had a good birddog but sometimes he needed a little help finding dead birds that I shot in the thick stuff.

What do I like about the Srixon Yellow Z-Star? I didn't have to mark my ball because I was the only one in our group that was playing a yellow ball. They spin and stop on the green like any other quality ball. They are very visable when they roll into the second cut or even OB. They don't seem to cut as easily as some other soft feeling balls. I think they look .

I had my Taylormade Superfast driver cut from 46.5" to 45" from the butt end and regripped with a oversized grip yesterday. I played with it today and hit it VERY straight. I lost only a few yards in length. I'm a happy with it and playing again tomorrow!

I bought a dozen Yellow Z-Star Srixon balls and love them. Had my 46 1/2" SuperFast driver cut to 45" and put a oversized grip on it. I like it a lot better this way! I bought a groove sharpener too.

Carling reminds me of my daughter so that's why I'm pulling for her. Sara is too "caty" for me to like. But I won't lose ant sleep over who ever wins or loses.

I play Vokeys (52* and 56*) and have a 48* that I'm not carring right now. I have CG14s Clevelands too and they are great wedges. My magnetic bracelet is tuned to the Vokeys so that's why I play the Vokeys.

Well guys, After all the iron polishing and practicing with the Titleist 690.CBs, I put my AP1s back in my bag. I shot a 86 yesterday with the 690s and that's just not acceptable to me. I had been shooting in the mid to high 70s and thought I was ready for a "players iron" but I can't go through missing so many greens and watching my scores drop. It might have something to do with the 690s having stiff shafts and the AP1s having regular flex. I might try a set of Ping i15s next year.
