  1. Not true, members of Cypress don't need gratuity. Cypress is considered the hardest course to get on. I have been trying for a few years whenever I go to Pebble.
  2. Saying cypress point was nicer is like describing the Duomo and saying but the Vatican is nicer. How about some insight on your connection to get on Cypress Point.
  3. I will add that if you are playing PB you have a decision to make. Get the earliest Tee time you can so you can finish in about 4-4:30 hours but you take the chance that the fog will affect your views or get a later tee time but you will be looking at 5:00+ hrs as every hacker in America wants to say they played PB. I think you need to experience it but as mention Spyglass is a great mix of ocean views while a great challenge and a feel like you left the coast an entered Augusta on the back side. I think the budget of $1200 a day is tough especially when you're paying $300-$500 a day on golf. There are so many courses that you could play for less but if you are going for the first time you have to play PB, Spyglass, Spanish Bay, and if time allows Pasa Tiempo before heading to other courses. I had my annual trip for June canceled due to this virus so will miss this year but will be heading back. Fortunately my wife likes the area as much or more than me and doesn't care how much golf I play.
  4. Pebble is not for the faint of heart. first off in order to make a tee time in advance you must stay at one of the hotels which is about $900 a night. Now I go nearly every summer with my family and rent a house and since I am a single I have never had an issue getting a tee time the day before but if you’re going as a group then you need to stay at one of the hotels. To play PB it will cost $500+ depends on Cart, caddy, etc. the other PB courses you can book ahead of time even if you’re not staying (spyglass and Spanish bay) and the if you’re looking for less expensive options there are several in the area. Delmonte which is the first PB owned course is an option which is an OK course, I play Poppy Hills a lot in the afternoon when the rates go down, there are dozen others within 20 minutes to play and if you have time I suggest taking a drive and playing Pasa Tiempo. good luck.
  5. Looking for golf buddies in the Miami/Ft lauderdale area. I am a 7 handicap and play a couple of times a week.
